As a working mom I don’t always get to spend all the time with Gradie that I would like to. This is why I jumped at the opportunity to create a #YESSIE day – a day when I say YES! Yes to letting Gradie pick what our adventures would be, a day to Yes to letting her pick who we hang out with and what we do.
We started out our day with breakfast and headed to a family fun day at a local park. Gradie chose to spend the morning with her moms; she absolutely loves parks and having a day where we couldn’t say no she had an absolute blast having us climb through the tunnels, going down slides and running around with her.
A late summer day in Minnesota brings with it warmth and humidity, which makes kids (and their moms) thirsty. Gradie has always loved apple juice, it’s her go to juice, what she ALWAYS asks for. Unfortunately, a lot of apple juices are full of preservatives, artificial flavors and other things we just don’t want our kids consuming.
Today however was a YES day, so when Gradie asked for her apple juice, as she always does, we were excited to say YES and hand her a Capri Sun Organic Apple juice box found at walmart.com.
After a refreshing break for Gradie, and us, we were on the go again. No time to sit back and relax when a 4 year old is running the day. We played for a couple more hours before heading home as Gradie’s next part of her days plans were to have her cousins come over and hang out until bed time.
Jeanna and I were talking about the new Capri Sun Organic juices on our way home. Reading the box and online, that 1 pouch is 1 serving of fruit according to U.S. Dietary Guideline, they have all natural ingredients and is USDA Certified Organic.
Once we got home and Gradie’s ‘girl cousins’ arrived, our family YES day continued. We played in sand, we swam, and we went to the park and ran the bases at the local baseball field.
Mixed in there was dinner and numerous drink and snack breaks. Gradie’s cousins also approved of the Capri Sun Organic Apple juice. Luckily I bought two 10 packs of juice at our local Walmart so we had plenty for our family YES day and enough left over for Gradie to enjoy at lunch time this week at school.
With it being a better option for Gradie to drink we are ok with her drinking it more so than we would allow in the past. We all enjoy saying YES more often right?
