5 Step St Patrick’s Day Craft Tutorial

Pipe Cleaner Shamrocks!!

St Patricks Day Craft Tutorial Pipe Cleaner Shamrock - feature

I wanted to share with you this extremely easy to make St Patrick’s Day craft.  It incorporates fine motor skills with spending quality time spent with your little one. Made from beads and pipe cleaners you can choose your color combinations or go with the traditional green for St. Patrick’s Day.

As you can see in our pictures I chose green and yellow while Gradie went with a more ‘unique’ red blue and black.  I hope you’ll follow along with this extremely easy to follow, step by step tutorial and have as much fun with your child as we did.

Step 1.  Take two pipe cleaners cleaners and twist them to make one long pipe cleaner.

Step 2.  Thread beads onto the pipe cleaner.  It is your choice as to how many beads to use.

Step 3.  Once beads are added, gently bend the pipe cleaner in half. Then twist the pipe cleaner, roughly 1/3 of the way down (see photo).

Step 4.  Bring both bottom pieces of the pipe cleaner and twist them to form 3 circle shapes.

Step 5.  To form the stem I took two pipe cleaners and twisted them to make a unique look.  Then twist the stem into the shamrock.  All that is left to do is shape the pipe cleaners into a shamrock shape and TA-DA your shamrock is complete!!

Of course I’d LOVE if you’d share this post on Facebook and PIN it on Pinterest!!

This is so cute, I can’t wait to be making crafts with my daughter when she’s older. I loved pipe cleaner crafts when I was little too.
