Tactic Games Review
It seems almost bizarre to talk about board games anymore with all the technology out there… but there is just something about sitting around a table throwing dice, holding cards or laying tiles. It is something that Jeanna and I already love doing with the Pelton Family as you might recall in my previous game postings.
This time we tried a couple of Tactic’s new games, one of action and one for the littles of the family. First up, fun for the little ones…
Hungry Monsters is suitable for little monsters of just about any age. The monsters in the game are sooo hungry they are tearing the kitchen to pieces while looking for food. It is your job ro help them find it by rolling the special dice and moving your monster around the game board collecting food. Be the first to fill up your monster’s mouths, all 15 of em…. You win! The game takes about 15-20 minutes to finish depending on the age and how many littles are playing. Not too long that they lose interest and yet short enough to remember how 🙂
Next up, was me schooling everyone how to be a Ninja! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Go Time Action Game is the perfect game of physical skill and dexterity for anyone. The game changes every time depending how you set up the brightly colored sewer grates path. The game suggests 5 and up but we played with E this time and she got the hang of it pretty quick 🙂 !
Here’s how it goes… Players set up a path of 16 sewer grates (there are 4 different colors) that lead to the green grate, which is the door to the Turtles home. Each player spins the spinner to determine in which order they will move along the path of sewer grates. The spinner tells you hand or foot and which color grate you must go to. If it’s too far away or just not possible because you aren’t to ninja master yet, you can place your sai (Raphael’s weapon of choice) on the grate and start there on your next turn. First Ninja to the green grate wins that round. You can really play for as long as you want or collect tokens as it says in the directions. We just kept going for fun and sheer NINJA MASTER skill development (the others not me 🙂 )
Now I am sure you are jumping over to the Tactic website to check out all of the amazing games they offer, they really do have something for everyone!! While you’re online make sure you stop by and like/follow them on Facebook and Twitter – that way you won’t miss any new games as they come out and be on top of any promotions and sales. Your kids will love the games, and I am sure you will too, I know I do!!

I agree with your comment about hands-on board game playing! To watch the faces of everyone after they take their turns are priceless! The laughter & high-fives, etc. are half the fun! The Hungry Monsters Game reminds me of Hungry Hungry Hippos – which was & still is a fun family game.
