As Jeanna and I start this fun and exciting road to motherhood we are looking for high quality baby products.   Products that will keep our baby safe, that will make life easier, and keep baby happy.  This is exactly why I was extremely excited to be able to review the Baby Bjorn Baby Original Carrier, because all I have heard about these products has been positive and I wanted to put the product to the test as I really feel this is one of those products that will keep baby safe, make our lives easier and keep baby happy and close to us.

For the review we borrowed little Mr. Blake and just take a look at how happy he was hanging out with his Aunt Jeanna, both facing her and facing away from her.

Granted these pictures are taken indoors, but for our testing we went on a fun trip to the mall, too cold here in MN in January to be walking around outside.  We walked around for a couple hours, shopping, grabbed some lunch and all the while Blake was happy and so were we.  The carrier is extremely easy to use, a lot easier then some other carriers I’ve seen, the instructions are straight forward and getting baby safely buckled in is done in just a few easy steps.

The strap that goes between your little one’s legs is where you adjust the carrier as baby grows from newborn on up (from 8 lbs and 21 in up to 25 lbs/11 kg).  As you can see the in the pictures above Mr. Blake is no longer a newborn, he is now 6 months old and that’s the reason the support around his is head is folded down.  I must admit, I was a little nervous about the thought of using this carrier with a newborn who is still unable to support their own head, but those nerves were relieved as soon as I saw just how much support it provides for the head of a newborn.  Take a look at this video, it clearly shows the difference between using the carrier with a newborn and a slightly older baby.

    The Baby Bjorn Original Carrier would be wonderful to wear while grocery shopping. It sure looks like little Mr. Blake is enjoying it 🙂 Those carts are full of germs from people who use them that are sick and it’s not safe to put babies in them. It’s a good way for them to get real sick. I also liked the Baby Bjorn Travel Light 2 . It would make staying at Grammy and Auntie’s house so much more comfortable and easy.
