While we are still stuck at home for the most part this year, it is so important that we make time to care for ourselves in every way. Self care is an important thing to do and now and again we should all take the time to pamper ourselves as well as fuel the body properly. Today we are going to talk about just a few of the things you can do each day to look after yourself at home and be happier and healthier.
10 minutes of movement
If a whole 30 minute workout feels like too much for you, you should at least take 10 minutes out of your day for exercise. Whether you try a 10 minute HIIT workout or a 10 minute yoga session – this movement will make your day so much better and you’ll feel alert and energised.
Eat the rainbow
When looking after your body, it is important to ensure that you get enough nutrients to keep your body ticking over and the easiest way to do this is to eat the rainbow. Find the most colourful foods you can such as carrots, peppers, broccoli and red onion and inject as many of these into your daily diet as you can. This will give you a roundup of many important vitamins and minerals and it will be great for your body.
Look after your teeth
Your teeth are such as important feature of your body and you need to maintain their strength througout your life. One way to do this is by using an at home aligner kit such as ALIGNERCO to straighten your teeth at home and give you a winning smile. Using an electric toothbrush is also important, and don’t forget to use mouthwash!
Minimize hair washing
This might sound odd – but your hair needs to be washed less if it is to stay strong and silky. When you wash your hair too often, you strip it of essential oils and it can become brittle and dry as a result. To avoid this, you should instead try to wash your hair every 3-4 days instead of every 2, and you’ll soon see a difference in the strength of your hair.
Treat your skin to a scrub
You might exfoliate your face once in a while to get rid of dead skin cells; but when was the last time you exfoliated your body? It is so important to exfoliate your body once in a while to get rid of dirt, dead skin, and cellulite – and you can make one at home using coffee and olive oil. Create a thick paste, and use this to bring life back to your skin once or twice a week.
Try heatless hairstyles
If you use a lot of heat on your hair you may notice it begin to get dry and brittle – but just because you don’t use heat doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy stunning styles. Try heatless curling using a headband or socks, braid your hair to make waves, and throw your hair into a stylish messy bun for those working days. There are lots of fun ways to make your hair look great without damaging it.
