If you want to get more out of your life but you don’t know where to start or if you want to make sure that you are not being held back by anything, then this is the guide for you.
No Comparisons
Social media has got us into the habit of actively comparing ourselves to others. You may think that everyone else’s life looks so great, but this is not always the case. You never know what is going on behind the scenes, so keep this in mind when you find yourself feeling envious. If you want to help yourself then forget about what everyone else is up to and focus on your own, personal goals. There is absolutely no harm in you being selfish once in a while, so step away from the screen and invest in some “you” time. If you want to discover more about what you could be capable of, then take this simple 5-minute Enneagram test. This is a great way for you to get the boost you need.
Be Present
People often say live in the moment because it’s important. You need to try and do this if you can because you may find that sometimes you are either too busy thinking about the past or the future. This can cause you to overlook all of the wonderful things that are happening in your life right now. Time flies when you wish it away, or even when you waste it dreaming about stuff that is years away. If you find yourself doing this then redirect all of your attention to the current moment and practice mindfulness as much as you possibly can.
Be Grateful
If you want to make the most out of your life then you need to practice self-reflection as much as possible. Sometimes you may find that you are too preoccupied with everything that is going on in your life right now that you forget about what you have. You may find that you spend too much time thinking about what you’re lacking, and this can really work against you.
Workout
If you are too tired, hungry or busy to workout then this is understandable, but there are only so many excuses you can make. If you manage to do just a bit of exercise each day then this will make you feel way better and it will also promote your health overall. You will find that you get fitter and stronger for future adventures and that motivation comes much easier too.
Eat Well
There is nothing wrong with indulging in a tasty treat from time to time. This is harmless, but when a little becomes a lot, you may find that your health is no longer your top priority. A complete detox is not the answer either. If you know that you have a weak spot for chocolate, then you need to try and wean yourself off it as much as you can. Cut down your intake and make some very smart food swaps.
