I am very grateful that Gradie LOVES school, she has an excitement for learning that makes my heart happy. This is why I knew she would love to partner with TinkerActive workbooks to brush up on her kindergarten learning and jump right into first grade.
TinkerActive Workbooks are designed to build your child’s fundamental math and science skills AND inspire them to try new things, discover new skills, and imagine new possibilities—a surefire way to encourage their love of learning.
We were blessed to receive an impressive set of math and science workbooks for children in kindergarten, first and second grade. Each grade level has its own book for each subject and soon there will be a set of English workbooks too.
What we are loving about these workbooks is that there is a mix of sitting and working on problems and then you apply what you’ve learned with exciting hands-on tinkering, making and engineering activities.
For the hands on learning activities you’ll use common household items you likely already have, making it easier to switch from problems to hands-on learning with out having to head to the store for supplies.
Each activity starts by showing what tools and materials you’ll need to complete the activity then instructions for what is needed to do. Gradie and her cousins had so much fun working on math while playing a game of paddle play – adding one for each time they hit the balloon and subtracting 3 each time it hit the ground.
As if all this fun wasn’t enough there are also the charming citizens of ‘TinkerTown’ – the MotMots – that guide your kids through new concepts and learning with encouragement and humor.
Prior to receiving this set of TinkerActive workbooks we hadn’t heard of them before but now that we have had the opportunity to work through a couple of them over the past few weeks we will most definitely be recommending them to all of our mom friends. You can purchase the full line of TinkerActive workbooks over at Amazon (and if you do be sure to leave a review once you’ve had a chance to try them out), or you can find the full list of locations by clicking HERE.
TinkerActive workbooks are one of the product lines from Odd Dot Books, and I encourage you to follow them via social media to keep up to date with all they have to offer, I’m certain you won’t be disappointed.
