While I do find it almost impossible to believe, Gradie recently turned six. When we started inquiring about where she would like to have her birthday party she stated she wanted a SWIMMING birthday party.
She does have a summer party so we thought we could make this happen, but then concern started creeping in, the what if’s. What if it was raining on the day of her party, what if it was really cold or really hot as we all know MN can have both of those temps, even in July. THis is when we started looking at options for an indoor swimming party.
We found options, however, most of them were at locations where the pool would be open for the general public and you’d rent a room for an hour or so and then the kids can swim making it hard to track where they might be at any given time.
Then I remembered back to when Gradie had swimming lessons at Goldfish Swim School in Oakdale, MN and found, on their website, that they host birthday parties on Saturday afternoons from 4 to 6 where the group present for the birthday party are the only people in the building AND they have a life guard on duty. However, that’s not all……
The party package includes:
- Invitations and matching envelopes
- Two hours of private access to the facility
- Certified lifeguards on duty to oversee all pool activities
- Cupcakes and beverages for the children
- Centerpieces, balloons and tropical decorations
- Forks, napkins, cups, plates and table coverings
Literally all you have to do is SHOW UP and be ready for some fun in their 90 degree pool, with full access to the kick boards, balls, rafts etc. You are also able to borrow life jackets for the kids if they’re not yet able to swim independently.
A week or so before your child’s special day the birthday party coordinator will call to discuss everything with you. They even went as far as ensuring that the cupcakes would have NO sprinkles on them as Gradie just really doesn’t like them.
Once we arrived everything was set up and ready to go. We added a few snacks to the table should anyone feel like nibbling, but most everyone was in the pool for the max amount of time they could be. The TV screens around the facility had a birthday message on for Gradie, which she loved, a designated birthday gift area and tables laid out for the kids when it came to cupcake time.
The entire birthday party, from beginning planning stages, until it was over was stress free and so professionally arranged. At $450 for up to 24 kids, full facility rental, including a life guard, cupcakes and all the items listed above the price is most definitely RIGHT. We highly recommend Goldfish Swimming School for your child’s next birthday party, and of course swimming lessons too.

This is a great place for a children’s party 🎈 🎉🎁🎂. Gradie has great taste and knows what kids like!! The place looks clean and FUN! I love the NO fuss – NO mess part! The cupcake tree is cute and yummy. 😋
A lot of kids’ favorite activity is swimming. So this is a win. – win for all 😍. Too bad this is just in MN This was pin worthy! Thank you for sharing!

This party looks like it would be a lot of fun. There would be no way that I would pay $450 for a party for anything. No matter what my kids would have a lot of fun at this place.

Wish we had a pool like this nearby. Have been staying clear for awhile since ours are entirely outdoors and we’ve been having heat waves.

We have a Goldfish School that just opened up last month. The new facility looks beautiful.
