I don’t know about you but I find trying to plan a vacation rather stressful. There are so many decisions to be make, flights, lodging, and activities, all the while wanting to make sure your family will have a great time full of memories.
As we’re looking to finalize some summer travels Gradie has been asking (over and over again) to go to Florida. She knows that there’s a lot to do there, that it’s warm and she can swim as much as she wants. Of course, I am sure a certain group of amusement parks has her interest peaked too.
With a one year old, a six year old and two moms I was hoping to find accommodation that wasn’t a hotel as those rooms get rather small rather quick with two very busy kiddos. While browsing different places to stay I stumbled upon the Vrbo website and I am so glad I did.
I quickly learned that Vrbo is the perfect vacation rental site for families, friends and groups to use to book vacation cabins, homes and condos. While I was searching for lodging in FL – Kissimmee to be exact, I found that you can create Vrbo Trip Boards. Let me tell you how much I LOVE Trip Boards. {Take a look at my Summer 2019 trip board HERE.}
I am able to browse accommodation options and when I find one I like I simply heart the property and it saves it to my Trip Board. I then share the Trip Board with my wife and she is able to look over the properties and can vote or comment on her favorites and just like that we narrow down which property to choose.
The Trip Boards are not the only great feature I found while browsing Vrbo, they also have the Bang for Your Buck Index, that helps you find locations and accommodations that have the lowest average cost per night, homes less than $250 per night but they still offer prime features. Such a fantastic feature while you search for locations to visit that will give you the most ‘bang for your buck’.
If you’re wondering how to pronounce the name – Vrbo – you’re not alone, luckily the company has decided to officially go with “VER-boh” removing all guessing around the name.
All I have left to say is be sure to check out their website and download the app, whether you’re planning a vacation for your immediate family, or your extended family’s next reunion. You’ll find the perfect accommodation that the entire family can view and vote on via the Travel Board.
