Who doesn’t love toys – young or old toys are so much fun. Now that I’m a grown up and a mom to two beautiful little girls I love toys in a different way. I appreciate toys that entertain my girls, and I especially enjoy them when they entertain AND teach them, at the same time.
MindWare Toys is a company producing toys that do exactly that – they entertain and educate, without your kids realizing that they’re learning. I am ecstatic that MindWare Toys have joined us again for our 2018 Holiday Gift Guide, which means I get to tell you even more about why we love them.
MindWare is passionate about filling the world with fun, high-quality products that foster lifelong learning, growth and success.
We were sent 4 products to test out, 2 for Gradie and 2 for Hazel. Gradie received KaBlocks and Color by Number: Pets & Fantasy Book Set and 36 Pencils. Hazel got the MindWare babu Rollers & babu Rocker.
KaBlocks
As soon as Gradie saw her box of KaBlocks she couldn’t get downstairs quick enough to get it opened up and set up. Thankfully setting it up was a breeze and took just a few seconds to connect the piping under the red platform and the craziness could ensue.
Gradie loves building towers, she loves blocks and figuring out ways to make each tower bigger and better. She also loves knocking them down and now she can do it in style!
The blocks are foam and in a bunch of different styles and fun bright colors. They’ll build up all the crazy towers their little minds can dream up and then they’ll jump onto the stomp pad and their tower will go flying.
Every time Gradie builds a new structure she is working on developing her problem solving skills and how to balance things just right so they don’t fall. Watching her work on where to carefully place each block is so much fun. Especially when she works on a way to join the two sides like she did in the picture below.
At just $39.95 this toy makes a great gift these holidays and your little ones will absolutely love it.
Color by Number: Pets & Fantasy Book Set and 36 Pencils
Gradie found a color by number app on our phone and she absolutely loves it, which is why I was excited to get her MindWare’s new Color Counts coloring books completed with a set of 36 colored pencils.
These books are for kids aged 6 plus, but at 5.5 Gradie is have a great time with them and each time she’s coloring she’s working on her coloring skills, staying in the lines, and number recognition. Plus as she colors each picture it is like it ‘comes alive’ as it reveals hidden pictures.
Each book includes 22 perforated pages, including 8 that fold-out to extend to a 10″ X 15″ size. Gradie cannot wait to get a few completed to get them up in her room and around the house, that is, if I don’t finish some up first – coloring is so much fun!
At just $24.95 this set is extremely reasonable for something that will entertain your kiddos for ages and help them develop at the same time.
As I mentioned MindWare Toys is a part of our 2018 Holiday Gift Guide and we love all they have to offer for our kids, letting them play and work on key developmental skills at the same time.
Head over to their social media outlets and follow along – that way you won’t miss out on fun new products and promotions as they come along;

It is difficult to find toys for young toddlers to enjoy but I think the babu rollers would be a super good choice.

These look like great toys. We do a lot of coloring in my house and this book looks really fun. The KaBlocks look really cool too. Destruction is something we like at my house so I bet the boys would adore this!

Oh my gosh, those KA BLOCKS would be so perfect for our 21 mos old grandson, Ashton. This is the 1st I’ve heard of these Ka Blocks, but coincidentally, just the other day I was playing blocks with him and he would pile blocks about 6 high in a tower and I would put my hands near them to ensure they didn’t topple ahead of time, but as soon as he would put the last block on, I would make explosive sounds and throw them into the air (*they are soft squishy ones) and make sure they landed all over him and his head and and I’d say Ohhh nooo it exploded, now we have to build it againnnnn! and he would laugh so hard he would nearly fall over. Now I want him to have the Ka Blocks too hahaha.
