I was lucky to be introduced to MindWare Toys last summer through a local event I helped out at. We got to play with some of their toys and we were hooked by the high quality, educational toys. I am excited that MindWare is participating in our Summer and Back to School product guide and to tell you why our family loves them as much as we do.
MindWare is passionate about filling the world with fun, high-quality products that foster lifelong learning, growth and success.
MindWare Toys sent us 3 games – Superkid in Training, Aqua Maze Marble Run, and Lemonade Shake Up to sample and share our thoughts with you.
Aqua Maze Marble Run
All kids like to play and splash in the water in the summer time and Gradie is no different, which is why I KNEW this was the perfect summer fun game for her.
Think of a traditional marble run, then mix in some water, a vortex, spinners and spouts and the kids will be splashing around testing out the principles of physics all while having a great time.
The Aqua Maze Marble Run consists of 103 pieces, 20 floating marbles and a fun ‘mini pool’ (play mat) that keeps it all together.
I’ll be honest by saying construction of the marble run was a little challenging, however, I was able to get it put together and soon we were having a bunch of fun. Gradie squeals with excitement each time she sends the marbles down and loves seeing how the water impacts how the marble makes it was down.
The MindWare Aqua Maze Marble Run is designed for kids aged 4 and up. While I am sure they’ll need assistance in putting the marble run together, once it’s built there will be hours of entertainment and learning, for your kids and yourself. Gradie and I have a blast seeing who’s marble will make it down first.
Of course this is a great summer time toy and I encourage you to check it out on the MindWare website, for just $39.95, your kids will love it. However, I am happy that Gradie will be able to use this marble run year round, when the MN winter sets in we’ll transfer it to an indoor toy.
Lemonade Shake Up
A summer favorite – lemonade stands! With the Lemonade Shake Up kids of 2, 3, or 4 can play and work together as a team to make and serve lemonade with the goal of filling up their money jar. Each player gets 3 attempts to make a drink by matching the images on the recipe card. If you’re unable to make a drink after 3 rolls of the dice you get a ‘sour lemon’ (but roll 3 sugar spoons and you can give the sour lemon card back).
Gradie loves that she is so easily able to play without been able to read yet. The game is designed for players aged 4 and up and comes with 5 dice, a plastic cup, 4 sour lemon cards, 12 quarter tokens, a money card, a recipe card and 12 customer cards.
The goal is teaching kids how to cooperate in order to ‘win’ the game. We have played this game as a family many times and always have a great time.
At just $15.95 Lemonade Shake Up is priced right to be added to your family game night line up.
Super Kid in Training
It’s no secret, our family LOVES everything super heroes, which is why I KNEW I had to get my hands on the Super Kid in Training game for our family to try out.
A kids imagination is a truly wonderful thing, I know that watching Gradie role play and make up games on the fly is something that amazes me every day. With the Super Kid in Training game she harnesses all of her ‘powers’ and she works so hard on completing the tasks laid out before her.
Super Kid in Training is also a game for kiddos aged 4 and up and comes with all you need to get imaginative play under way; 10 double-sided action cards, 5 card stands, kid-sized cape, two wrist bands, mask, foam ball, lightning bolt, and a target.
You set up stations and at each station they work on building their super powers such as agility and strength. Stations will have your kids spinning around, jumping as high as they can, try to be as small as they can be, doing a couple push ups and so much more. You don’t need to worry if your kids aren’t able to read yet, the activity cards are very well illustrated showing them what they need to do.
It is so much fun out in the yard working on setting up an obstacle course, playing and running about in the hot summer weather but on rainy days, or once winter comes back you can easily set this up in your home too.
We highly encourage you order your Super Kid in Training game today, at just $24.95, it’ll make a great gift for your kiddos, and I am confident they’ll love it as much as Gradie and her cousins do.
As I mentioned MindWare Toys is a part of our Summer and BTS Essentials product guide and we love all they have to offer for our kids, letting them play and they’re learning at the same time. Plus your kids will be able to use the products mentioned above long after summer is done and we’re back to school.
Head over to their social media outlets and follow along – that way you won’t miss out on fun new products and promotions as they come along;

I really like the Super Kid in Training for my daughter who wants to be a super hero. She also could benefit from the exercises in this came to work on her strength and balance, since she has low muscle tone.

(Summer & Back to School Fun with MindWare Toys! #SummerEssentials #BTSEssentials) There are many of their toys that would be great for our five year old grandson to play and learn with. He started kindergarten this year, and so far loves it.
