It is really fun that Gradie is at the point now where she loves playing and building with ‘Lego’. She likes to build structures to be homes, schools, malls, etc. for her little people and Peppa Pig to play in.
Naturally when we were approached by Strictly Briks to check their line of products out we said YES, Gradie actually yelled it.
Strictly Briks is a company based on creative play for our kids. Unlike other block/brick building brands that focus on licensed sets that you build per instructions, Strictly Briks come with no instructions. Just like when you and I played with blocks as kids, we just let our imagination take over to build whatever our heart desired.
We were lucky enough to receive the Strictly Briks Starter Pack of 119 Big Briks and The Original Brik Buster.
About Strictly Briks;
Our mission is to innovate creative play. We offer numerous colors, shapes, and sizes of stackable base plates and towers to new types of play like our patented silicone straps and The Cube. We provide an affordable platform and structure for kids to build from and encourage combining with toys you already have, like action figures, mini figures, cars, stuffed animals, etc., to play in a new way and let your kids’ creativity shine.
In a day and age where our kids lives are so structured it is easy for us to forget the true power of PLAY – free play, imaginative play, and the impact these aspects of growing up has on our kids. In our home we always encourage this imaginative play and Gradie absolutely loves it. I cannot get enough of watching her little imagination run wild.
Brik Buster has brought our family many hours of fun and excitement. You build up the tower then you take turns hitting at the support beams, with the included hammer, attempting to NOT make it fall down. The winner is the last player who hits the briks without toppling down the tower.
We have had fun attempting to build differing shaped towers, higher support beams, different levels etc. Gradie has also had fun creating her own shaped towers and watching her in action is so much fun.
One of the features of the Strictly Briks line of products is that every Strictly Briks piece is compatible with other brands of plastic bricks. This has allowed us to create completely ‘outside of the box’ designs by combining the big blocks she already had with her Brik Buster set and of course the starter pack of 119 Big Briks, which comes with triangle, circle, semi circle and rectangle base plates along with many more fun shapes and sizes of briks.
Combining all of these has truly led to a new level of imagination and free play in our home and I am excited to see what we’ll build next.
When you head over to the Strictly Briks website you might have a hard time choosing exactly what set to pick up for your child (or yourself), but the great news is that all of their sets are affordably priced and won’t break the bank, so pick up a set for all the kids on your gift list. Of course you can also head over to Amazon.com and get to shopping.
As I always do – I encourage you to follow Strictly Briks via their social media outlets; Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter.
