Cereals are one of those special foods that bring about so many emotions and memories. We spend time with our kids and family around the table each morning eating cereal, sharing stories and making memories, and yes I am sure some of those memories are of us rushing to get ready and out the door to school and work.
If your family is like mine we’d go down the cereal aisle and the four kids would try to convince one another of which cereal we should purchase. Luckily my mom always had a way of making sure it was kept fair in who got what cereal.
Fast forward to 2010, I was living in Minnesota and my nephew, Casey, came to live with me. I’ll never forget our first trip to the grocery store after he arrived. He got to the cereal aisle and was so excited to buy Lucky Charms – a cereal he coined as ‘American cereal’ because he’d seen it in the movies, but never tried it.
After trying to keep up with how much cereal this teenage boy could eat I can only imagine how much my mom and dad went through with 3 boys in their home.
Do you have special memories of Lucky Charms?
Now that Gradie is 3, almost 4, she loves Lucky Charms too – BUT, she is very much like her cousin and the first thing she does is go for the marshmallows. We have thrown out more than our fair share of stale boxes of cereal once the marshmallows are all eaten and she’s moved onto something else.
Just take a look at Gradie’s other cousin Blake – he sure loves Lucky Charms too – but why wouldn’t he, right!?!
Be sure to head to your local Walmart to pick up Lucky Charms for your family, the kids will love it and if you’re honest to yourself, you’ll eat some too.
Be sure to check out Lucky Charms website and also follow their social media outlets;

I love the marshmallows! I use to eat them all out when I was little. I think I need to grab a box now that I’m a grown up kid 😉

I remember loving this cereal so much as a kid. The marshmallows are awesome & one of those guilty pleasures for adults too. 😉
