Summer is coming – and in MN that means we celebrate. After a long winter, covered in many layers with little to no skin exposed, we tend to shed those layers and head to one of our 10,000 lakes to soak up the sun. Unfortunately, for many that usually means SUN BURN!!
Of course, no matter where you live, sun protection is of vital importance!! We know the risks of not preventing those unnecessary burns and I am excited to share with you that Thinkbaby has joined our Spring Guide to share the news about their line of sunscreen products.
We use many Thinkbaby and Thinksport products in our home and we stand firmly behind everything they stand for. They’re putting our families needs and well being first and that is a company I can easily support.
We started using Thinkbaby sunscreen on Gradie a couple years ago and have not looked back since. We’ve kept her delicate skin safe and she’s had no burns, no adverse reactions and she now asks for her sunscreen every time before she heads outside. She actually told her Aunty Tracey this past weekend that she HAD to have her sunscreen and grabbed it before they headed out for the day.
Thinkbaby and Thinksport’s sunscreen products are SAFE!!! We all know how icky things seem to end up in the products we’re using each day, for ourselves and for our families.
This is why Thinkbaby and Thinksport is our GO TO for sunscreen – they’re non-toxic, they’re free of nano-particles and biologically harmful chemicals.
I’ve said how much I love these sunscreens, but you don’t have to only listen to me. Take it from the long list of awards Thinksport has won since they introduced their sunscreen in 2010. They are the most award-winning sunscreen available.
Some of these awards are;
- First sunscreen to pass Whole Foods Market Premium Care Requirements
- Top rated “1” by the Environmental Working Group since 2010
- Highest level of SPF, UVA/UVB and water resistance as allowed by the FDA
- Member of the Safe Cosmetics Campaign Compact
We received the Thinkbaby Safe Sunscreen SPF 50+, Thinksport Kids Safe Sunscreen SPF 50+, and the new Thinkbaby Sunscreen Stick SPF 30+.
Gradie has a large path in her hair and this leaves her scalp exposed when in the sun and trying to keep a hat on her is next to impossible. I am relieved that we now have a product we can easily use to ‘cover’ this exposed skin, the Sunscreen Stick is so easy to simply run over this area on her head and in the first few times we’ve used it we have had no sunburn, no irritation at all and it easily washes out during her regular hair wash. Of course, applying to the head/hair area is not the intended use of the sunscreen stick, but it does the trick for us.
I used the Thinkbaby Sunscreen Stick today too – I used it for my face and I am glad to report that I have NO sunburn. You see I have the skin that simply sees the sun and I start to burn, I don’t tan, I burn. Most important is that using it didn’t leave my skin feeling oily, I barely noticed it was on, other than I wasn’t burned at the end of the day.
I will be purchasing more of these sunscreen sticks to keep in our beach bag, in our vehicles and at the grandparents house to use this summer. You can also purchase these sticks in the Thinksport (for kids) and regular Thinksport varieties.
The oval design of the sunscreen stick is great to get it into your front pocket for those easy ‘touch ups’ once your little ones have been running around sweating, swimming and who knows what all else they get up to.
We’ve used the Safe Sunscreen products in the past and this year is no difference, they will be our go to sun protection products all summer long.
Priced at $8.99 (sunscreen stick) and $12.99 per 3oz tube, or $23.99 per 6oz tube, you’ll be able to pick up a few of each to have extras everywhere you might need them. We were outside at a sporting event all day Saturday. It was our first warm day and most of us forgot sunscreen. We are paying for it today! I’ll have to pick some of this up for my boys. Thanks!
