Google does everything – well just about. Many of us have Google Home Products in our home and now we can add Google Chromecast Audio to the list.
I will admit that we haven’t updated our home much for the new technology that is available – we only just got a smart TV. One thing I’ve definitely noticed, after I get new items, is wondering HOW I lived without them in the past?
With the Google Chromecast Audio – my thought process is the same. WHY didn’t I get this ages ago? No more am I attempting to hook up phones and speakers via Bluetooth, no more trying to ‘find it’ and then pair and connect it.
Google Chromecast Audio connects via WiFi instead of Bluetooth. This allows you to stream in crystal clear HI RES sound.
You likely already have speakers at home, I connected mine through my TV’s soundbar, using the AUX connection and via some speakers I have set up in Gradie’s room (pictured in this post). Then I use my phone, connecting via WiFi to the Chromecast Audio device.
You’re able to adjust the volume and change what you’re listening to from anywhere in your home. PLUS – you can listen to music and still text and call without interruption. I especially like this as I can set up some music playing in Gradie’s room without having to elave my phone there while she naps, sleeps etc. Of course it is also perfect for impromptu dance parties, which happens a lot in our home!
I have set up my phone to use the Chromecast Audio, however, you can also easily set up your laptop or tablet – so many ways to enjoy your music, podcasts, audio books, etc. If you head over to chromecast.com/apps you can learn all the apps that are compitable with this device.
One more feature – you can also set up multiple speakers around your home when you group Chromecast Audio devices – allowing the same song to play throughout your home. This is my favorite on ‘cleaning day’ when I’m upstairs and down.
The best feature of the Google Chromecast Audio is the price – at just $35 you can pick up one for each room and truly REDEFINE HOW YOU ENJOY YOUR MUSIC!!

I love the idea of this! I use Bluetooth speakers now but sometimes there is an interruption with the connection. To avoid that would be lovely!

I have an original Chromecast that I really enjoy. We we get settled in a house of our own one day, I am setting up these audio versions for sound all over the place, especially in the living room and hopefully the place will have a shop too.
