Lately I’ve been sharing products and services that make our lives EASIER! As working mom’s we are constantly looking for ways to cut out time on things we don’t necessarily want to be doing and more time on what we want to do, like playing and making memories.
With this in mind I couldn’t have been more excited when I heard about EatPakd and was asked to try them out and share my thoughts with my readers.
I know what you’re thinking. Eat WHAT? Well EatPakd is a service that makes packing lunches EASY for busy families. Their mission is to ‘Fill kids’ bellies with homemade food to fuel their day’.
EatPakd was started in 2016 in Chicago and recently expanded to all of Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio, Missouri, Michigan and Indiana.
With EatPakd you will receive fresh, custom lunches directly to your front door step. All of EatPakd’s lunches are chef-tested and, most importantly, kid-approved. Gradie is the latest to give her kid-approval to these delicious meals.
We were super lucky, we received our chilled package of EatPakd products the evening before we headed out on a road trip. Naturally we packed the meals up in our cooler as we headed out the next morning. This was a blessing in disguise because having a picky toddler outside of her normal daily routine and environment – we were happy to not have to stress about what she’d eat.
Her favorite ‘pak’ was the Aloha Pak by Darla. She gobbled up the pineapple, and moved onto her cucumbers (two of her favorite foods). She had a great time making ‘sandwiches’ with the ham and crackers and was very happy to tell us that the coconut cookies drizzled with chocolate were delicious, but wouldn’t let us try them.
Gradie did not eat this entire pack in one sitting, she’s 3.5 – but I think that it’d be the perfect sized lunch time meal for your school aged child. Another way that the EatPakd meals will come in handy is as individual snacks possibly between classes or before sports practices.
I really like that is that the meals are separately packaged. We are able to give Gradie what she wants to eat now and save the rest, therefore, we are not wasting.
Each lunch contains protein, fruit, veggies and something sweet and they’re so good I am considering ordering these for my lunches at work too. Once you set up an account you will be presented with roughly 5 pre-designed meal options, but you can also completely custom create the packs your child will receive, picking one from each category (fruit, veggie, etc).
For the parents out there of allergy kids you will be happy to know that all EatPakd lunches are peanut and tree nut free and are allergen-friendly.
EatPakd lunches are delivered anywhere in the Midwest via FedEx using cold technology in two days. With 3 different ordering options of four, eight, or 12-Pak starting at $26 per week, you will find a plan that works for you!
Now I know you’re dying to try out EatPakd for your family – head over to their website, set up an account and create your first order. I am confident you won’t be disappointed. Also be sure to follow along via social media, that way you won’t miss out on any new markets they will service, new lunch options and so much more;

What a great idea. I hope it expands to SC soon! I have to admit I really dislike the chore of making school lunch everyday.
