One thing I KNOW is that being a working mom is hard, so extremely hard. Working full time and trying to have enough hours in the day to spend time with your significant other and your children often seems impossible. That is without thinking of the time it takes to do stuff around the house, go grocery shopping, sports practices, etc.
This is why I am constantly on the look out for ways I can make our lives easier, function better with less stress and more time to PLAY! I found something that is doing all of these things –
Walmart Grocery – Online Grocery Pickup & Delivery!!
When you have a three year old, who you pick up after 5pm daily, you don’t have time/don’t want to go grocery shopping. The good news is that with Walmart Grocery online I no longer have to, well not in the traditional sense. Now I simply go online, order our groceries, schedule a pick up time then head to Walmart and do that – pick it up!!
I want to share with you just how easy this process is. Head to Walmart Grocery online and determine if your local Walmart offers the grocery pick up option – see below;
Choose the exact store location nearest your home;
Choose a 1 hour time slot to pick up your groceries;
Set up your chosen payment method;

Receive your order confirmation. That’s it – it truly is that easy.
Today was pick up day for us. Around 945am I received a follow up email saying my order was ready, and to either download the Apple or Android Walmart Grocery app to notify them that you’re on your way, or you can call the # they provide. This gives them a head start and saves you a few minutes as they’ll be bringing it out to you as soon as you arrive.
When we pulled into the Walmart lot there is plenty of signage pointing you in the right direction. Then you’ll see bright orange signage showing you where to park and an additional reminder of the phone number to call to let them know you’ve arrived (if not done in advance).
Luckily for me it was a record setting ‘hot’ day in MN, so I didn’t mind standing in the sun, snapping some pictures, while waiting the couple minutes it took for them to come out.
Then this lovely lady came out, wheeling over our groceries with a smile on her face. She was extremely friendly, answered all my questions and was nice enough to explain to me that if you choose to allow ‘substitutes’ on your order, which I had not, that if they’re out of the generic brand they’ll try to match it with a name brand product and charge you the same price that was on your original order. [NOTE TO SELF: allow substitutes in future orders].
She helped me get the groceries in the trunk, I signed for the pick up and off we went. In and out in a matter of minutes and didn’t even have to take Gradie out of her car seat!!
There should be nothing stopping you from saving time, and sanity, by shopping at Walmart Grocery Online.

I don’t see where coupons can go. Sometimes I get the BOGO free coupons. I wonder how those would work. What about tipping? I mean this is helpful in saving some time, but will this really save $$ in the long run?

They have a similar thing in Canada too. A walmart recently opened near me, which is great.
