Tanner and Logan are not getting any younger, in fact, they’ll be 12 and 11 this year, respectively and they are definitely slowing down in their old age. Which got me thinking that they need to be on a dog food formula that meets their needs, needs of aging ‘puppies’ – they’ll always be puppies to me.
While researching I came across Purina Pro Plan® BRIGHT MIND Adult 7+®. The great people at Purina have set out to create dog food with a blend of brain-supporting nutrients, promoting good cognitive health in your dog for a long and happy life. As you can see Tanner and Logan above, they’re just little dogs, but they’re absolutely my life. They were my first ‘children’ and I will do anything in my power to keep them happy and healthy for as long as possible.
This is why we chose to head out to PetSmart to pick up Purina Pro Plan Bright Mind Adult 7+. I am happy to report that it was easy to find the Purina aisle and the Bright Mind Adult 7+ was right in the middle.
Purina Pro Plan Bright Mind dog food has been created to help keep your dogs mentally sharp and alert once they’re over 7, which is when the glucose metabolism in a dog’s brain begins to change. To help promote your dogs alertness and mental sharpness the formula used to create Bright Minds Adult 7+ dog food contains botanical oils (with effects usually seen within 30 days).
Gradie is just 2.5 now and she’s constantly on the go, which toddler isn’t. For this reason I am hoping that switching Tanner and Logan over to the Purina Pro Plan Bright Mind food will increase their activity levels to keep up with Gradie for longer periods of time. Gradie really loves her ‘brother & sister’ and I love watching them interact.
As an added benefit, like there weren’t enough already mentioned, the Adult 7+ formula also includes glucosamine which helps support joint health, another area Tanner and Logan can definitely use some assistance.
I am very excited to share with you that you can head over to PetSmart right now and when you spend $10 on any Purina® Pro Plan® product, 2/29-4/3/16 and you will save $10 on your next purchase of Purina® Pro Plan® Dry Cat or Dry Dog Food (14lbs. or larger) or Litter (6lbs or larger) by 5/1/16. I received this $10 on my receipt when I checked out, good for my next purchase!
You can follow Purina via their social media outlets, besides for cute pictures of pets you will also learn of any new product developments and promotions as they are released;
If you have an older dog I encourage you to look into Purina Pro Plan Bright Minds Adult 7+ dog food to keep them mentally alert and active.

I really like how they are tailoring foods for animals needs and ages. Food affects their health so much and shouldn’t be a one size fits all kind of thing.
