We all love to eat cookie dough, right? How about other not so good for you treats that are bringing you down as you work on eating better, cleaner, healthier? Now what if you could change things up and eat a snack that is not only good for you, it gives you energy too?!
For our family we LOVE these No Bake Energy Balls – and Gradie absolutely loves saying, “Mama, can I have some balls to eat?” We love that they’re better for her then all the junk she usually wants to eat, and being a picky toddler, they give her needed protein to fuel her little, very active, body.
Did I mention that they are made with just THREE ingredients? That’s it, protein powder, honey (or maple syrup) and peanut butter. I should also mention how easy it is to make, simply take the 3 ingredients, mix it all up and you’re done!
However, Gradie sometimes needs a little encouragement to get her to eat, so I thought taking a couple pieces of colorful cereal, crushing them, and simply rolling the energy ball in it gives her that little push she needs to grab these energy packed balls as her go to snack.
There are a lot of ways you can add in fun taste variations, including adding in oats, chocolate chips and crushed cheerios.
Now let’s get you that recipe, I am excited to hear back from you what you think and what taste additions you chose to add.
3 Ingredient NO BAKE Energy Balls
Ingredients
- 1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
- 2 tbs Honey or Maple Syrup
- 2 tbs Peanut Butter (natural, no salt, sugar)
Directions
- Put the protein powder into a bowl first, then add in the peanut butter and honey (or maple syrup).
- Stir all ingredients until well mixed.
- Add in additional ingredients (discussed above, optional).
- Shape the mixture into balls and serve.
We have kept our uneaten balls in the refrigerator for a couple days, but they’re usually all eaten shortly after being made.
