I was lucky enough to receive Steven Spielberg’s Critically Acclaimed Spy Thriller, Bridge Of Spies – starring Tom Hanks to review.

A dramatic thriller set against the backdrop of a series of historic events, “Bridge of Spies” tells the story of James Donovan (Tom Hanks), a Brooklyn lawyer who finds himself thrust into the center of the Cold War when the CIA sends him on a near impossible mission to negotiate the release of a captured American U-2 pilot. High stakes and suspense power a story inspired by true events that capture the essence of a man who risked everything and vividly brings his personal journey to life.

 I was on the edge of my seat the entire 141 minutes this movie runs.  As usual Steven Spielberg has outdone himself.  As the story tells the extremely personal journey taken by James Donovan (played by Tom Hanks) on this mission, which most everyone thought to be impossible, you will feel as if you are right there with him, living it as he did during the Cold War. 

I am sure you too will be blown away by Bridge Of Spies.  I love movies based on true stories, especially about parts of history I am not necessarily too familiar with, this was one of those movies.  I also highly recommend you watch the bonus features available on the DVD/Blu-ray, I was completely glued to my TV, which doesn’t happen often for me!
