For a fun twist on game day snacks I bring you this Vegan Chipotle Tofu Nuggets recipe. Made with delicious Nasoya Chipotle Tofubaked this will have all your Super Bowl guests asking for more!!
Vegan Chipotle Tofu Nuggets
Ingredients
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp raw cane sugar
- 2¾ cups unsweetened cornflakes
- 14 ounces Nasoya Chipotle tofubaked
- 2 cups vegetable oil
Directions
- Stir the flour together with the raw cane sugar, sea salt, and roughly 6 – 8 tablespoons of water, depending on consistency, until the batter is smooth.
- Finely crumble the cornflakes.
- Cut the tofu into slices that are just under ½ inch, and then use a knife to shape the tofu into nuggets
- Dip the nuggets in the batter and then coat them with the cornflakes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a small saucepan.
- Fry the nuggets for approx. 3 minutes.
- Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
