MLK Day means equality to me. Ever since I was little, celebrating this day was a reminder of how hard African Americans had to fight to gain equal rights. It is a commemoration of the commitment and devotion Martin Luther King Jr. and his movement put forth to end the suffering and injustice that segregation and prejudice caused. Even now, MLK Day motivates me to keep pushing towards equal rights and fair treatment of all people.
