Teach your toddler colors with this
Homemade Color Book!
We made this book to help Gradie learn her colors. She just about has them mastered now so I wanted to share this fun project with you to make with your kids. Gradie loved being a part of our craft project, picking the stickers that matched the color pages etc.
What you’ll need;
- paint color cards (from your local paint or home improvement store),
- a glue stick,
- colored stickers,
- letter stickers (optional),
- a sheet of construction/scrapbook paper (optional),
- a hole punch, and
- 2 circular binder rings
HINT: We went to our local dollar store to pick up some stickers for this project.
Instructions:
- Start off by sticking the colored sheets together to create a book with the same colored pages facing one another.
- Use the stickers to decorate each page, we tried to use stickers that matched each color.
- You can use letter stickers to write out each color to start introducing letters to your little one.
- If you like you could use some construction paper or scrapbook paper to decorate the front cover of you book, but this is totally optional. (We had some scrapbook paper that we used.)
- Using the hole punch, make two holes in your book, towards the ‘spine’ of the book, that you’ll use to bind the book in the next step.
- Taking the key rings or binder rings bind your book.
It’s that easy!!! Just a few steps and you have a fun, homemade learning activity. Gradie loves telling us the colors as well as what all the different stickers are of.
Who in your life will benefit from using this fun homemade color book?

What a creative way to use those extra paint swabs that end up in the garbage when I’m done. Thanks!

I am so glad I seen this blog post. I just stated working with my daughter on her letters one letter a week and this would be so perfect to add to it.
