Babies poop – a lot! They’re so small yet they can be so gross! Anyone who’s had a little one can attest to this, the amount of dirty diapers one baby can create is truly amazing! That’s why we’re always on the look out for new ways to keep Gradie’s room as fresh smelling as possible.
In order to keep things fresh, and clean it is key that you manage your little one’s dirty diapers. We’ve tried a few different ways to do this and I think (after 2 years) we finally found our go to diaper pail – the Simplee Pail from tommee tippee!
There are a few ways reasons our family loves the Simplee Pail. I love the size of it, it’s much smaller then all other diaper pails we’ve seen. Gradie’s room isn’t the biggest, but the Simplee Pail fits discretely between her dressers and takes up no extra space. Even though the pail is small it can hold up to 18 diapers and each refill will be used for roughly 180 diapers. At just $9.97 for 2 refills the cost is extremely reasonable.
I am a big fan of the built in film cutter. Diapers are gross, I don’t want to have to deal with them after they’ve been sitting around a couple days. That is why this built in cutter is probably my favorite feature!! All you have to do is pull the plastic bag through the opening a bit, then use the cutter to cut through the plastic. Tie off the bag with the diapers, tie off the bag remaining in the pail and you’re set to use it again. I’ve illustrated the process below;
The Simplee Pail has the name for a reason!! It truly is simple to use – you open the lid, you push the diaper through and close the lid. Between the multi layered film/plastic, which contains an antibacterial agent to kill germs, and the pail lid the nasty smells are contained INSIDE the pail. Really I haven’t found anything I don’t like about this pail!!
