As a LeapFrog Mom Ambassador I was lucky enough to receive some amazing LeapFrog products and I cannot wait to tell you all about them. The first is the LeapPad Platinum and Imagicards.
First off I must say that the LeapPad Platinum is designed for kids aged three to nine. Gradie is only two (and a bit), so some of the stuff is a bit above her age level, but don’t worry I am a great product ‘tester’ and I had a blast testing it. Gradie also loves to share her tablet with her cousins Blake (three years old) and Elliot (four years old) so this tablet has been thoroughly tested in our home.
We received the brand new LeapPad Platinum as well as three sets of Imagicards – PAW Patrol (math), Teanage Mutant Ninja Turtles (math), and Letter Factory Adventures (reading), all pictured above. The LeapPad Platinum comes with 10 included apps, a $70 value, 6 Imagicards to try and experiment with and one bonus downloadable game. For the bonus downloadable game we picked Coloring with Leap, Tad & Lily at the Letter Factory and Gradie couldn’t be happier.
The LeapPad Platinum features a 7” hi-res multi-touch capacitive screen with a fast processor. When you head out to the LeapFrog app store you might get overwhelmed – they offer so much, which is a good thing, right?! A lot of these apps come in the form of games, which our kids love to play and don’t even realize that they’re learning at the same time.
As I am sure you can see in the pictures, the LeapPad Platinum features Wi-Fi. We all know that the internet can be a scary place for our children. One of the great features of this LeapPad is the kid-safe browser, which parents are able to adjust with built in parental settings you are able to adjust.
Gradie loves having her photo taken, in fact this weekend she climbed up onto a toy at the park and said to me, “Momma, take a photo!” She also loves taking photos, she takes our phones and runs after the dogs yelling, “Say cheese”, she gets so excited when she gets a photo of them. I am glad that she is now able to run after the dogs, and hound her dolls to say cheese with her LeapPad, which comes with two cameras and video recorders.
Both front and rear facing cameras are 2MB cameras and take photos that make Gradie squeal with delight. Your (or your child’s) LeapPad Platinum has a LOT of storage capacity at 8GB of memory, that’s enough for 40,000 photos or over 100 game apps.
You also use the camera on the tablet to take photos of your Imagicards. Once you do that your child’s favorite characters are ‘released’ bringing your child’s learning alive. The Imagicards we received are for ages above Gradie’s so I tested out some of the older sets and Gradie has played with the Paw Patrol set which is for age three to five and focuses on math. However, it also allows Gradie to take ‘selfies’ which are then framed with images of her Paw Patrol friends – she loves it.
I am confident that Gradie is going to learn a lot from her LeapPad Platinum and Imagicards. We love hanging with her cousins who also love learning from it and now have their user profile set up on it too. I know that all of our Imagicards are going to get plenty of usage in the coming months; luckily they come in a cute storage tin so we won’t lose them (I hope!). As an added bonus, we don’t actually have to carry the Imagicards around with us, the LeapPad Platinum has a digital card gallery, which enables kids to play while out and about, LeapFrog was really thinking of Mom’s and Dad’s with this feature – no stress of keeping all the cards while you’re out of the house.
Now I am sure you cannot wait to get your hands on the LeapPad Platinum and Imagicards for your kids (or nieces/nephews, grandkids etc.) and you can by clicking HERE to see all that is offered over at Amazon, all are Prime eligible so you’ll receive your order in 2 days!! The Imagicards are listed between $18.50 and $25 and right now you can get the LeapPad Platinum for just $104 (click HERE), thats down from the retail price of $129.99. WHAT are you waiting for?
Your kids will love it and you’ll love how much they’re learning with their LeapPad Platinum!!
Also make sure to connect with LeapFrog on Social Media – you don’t want to miss any new product releases (I know I don’t!):
