Right now they are empty. School starts for my youngest tomorrow and my older two next week. I remember when I was in highschool having a Biology book that weighed 11pounds on its own!

I would say way to much. All the kids are going to have back problems when they are older. When I was a kid I had study hall and did my homework there. I never brought home books unless I had a test. I would say on average the backpack is about 7-10 pounds. crazy huh

Since my niece is in middle school she has all of these textbooks, so I am only sure that it weighs a ton! and their lockers are like 1’x1′ which is crazy!!
