I don’t really have many memories of Father’s Day. We used to give my dad a lot of ugly ties because that’s all he wore to work. His office made ties mandatory so he rebelled by wearing the ugliest ties he could find. On his last day of work at that office, they threw him a party and everyone wore an ugly tie.
That sounded like my dad was nude except for a tie. I meant that he never wore attractive or professional looking ties.

My favorite father’s day memory was when I was young, probably 10. When i would ask my dad what he wanted for any holiday, he would say “I just want good kids”. He would always say it. For years, that is all he ever asked for. So for father’s day, I bought some little toy people, and decorated them to look like us 3 kids. I put on the card, that this might be as close to “good kids” as he might ever get. It was really funny, and I was so happy that it made him smile. He still has them on his desk. 🙂
I love watching the kids with my husband and the special gifts they make him
