I submitted my Selfie of my daughter and myself and I nominated the Shayla Bee Fund. While they aren’t exactly an initiative, but rather an organization that does so much to give back to their community by making donations to local families with children in a medical crisis. I was fortunate enough to know Shayla (the name sake) before she passed away, she was a beautiful angel who is loved and missed by so many. What her family has done to create and run this organization is beyond amazing. In fact, they just made their 100th donation to a family in need. They have grown through the past few years but are always looking for donations to keep their most important work going.

• In your same post, make sure to include a text nomination (approximately 100 – 120 characters) including a name and/or identifying description of a community project in the US, which you would like to nominate. Make sure the community project is something near and dear to your heart.
