Avengers Event Update & Press Junket Interviews Announced!!
In less than a week I’ll be in LA, 3 days – but who’s counting?!! I’ve been blessed to travel a lot in my life, largely travelling back to South Africa to visit, and to countries in Europe, as well as a few states in the USA, both playing and officiating hockey. However, I’ve never been to the West Coast, until Thursday that is.
I posted about this trip recently, click HERE to read that post. I wanted to provide an update, as we’ve received our itenary, with an additional, bonus stop on our whirlwind trip. We also received the names of the members of Avengers: Age of Ultron, that we will be interviewing at the Press Junket.
As I stated in my trip preview post, we will be watching Avengers: Age of Ultron (in theaters May 1) and Monkey Kingdom (in theaters April 17). After our screening of Monkey Kingdom we will be taken on a private tour of the Los Angeles Zoo, seeing the monkey exhibit as well as numerous other animals. I cannot wait to share this experience with all of my readers.
The bonus stop I referred to above, is a visit to the set of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. We will tour the set and see how the show is created. I’m so excited, I’ve never done anything like this. Of course I’m also really excited to share my experience with all of you!!
Now onto the interviews we’ll be doing on Saturday. It was late last week that we were told we’d be interviewing 12 people from the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie. The names were released throughout the afternoon, which made it particularly difficult to concentrate on anything else 😉
Before I continue on – I have to ask if you can COMMENT below and tell me what questions you would ask of these celebrities if you had the chance.
I will compile them and ask them during our iterviews, scheduled for Saturday April 11th.
As you’ll see in the pictures below, there were 8 announcements made.
First announced was Joss Whedon, the Director and Kevin Feige – Producer (and president of Marvel Studios).
Up next was Jeremy Renner, ‘Hawkeye’ and Cobie Smulders, ‘Agent Maria Hill’.
Third was James Spader, who plays Ultron, I guess the bad guy needs interviews too 😉
Fourth, was Aaron Taylor-Johnson, ‘Quicksilver’ and Elizabeth Olsen, ‘Scarlet Witch’.
Fifth, it was announced, would be Paul Bettany who has previously played Jarvis, but will be ‘Vision’ in Age of Ultron.
Sixth left a lot of my friends and family GREEN with envy 😉 as it was announced we would be interviewing Mark Ruffalo, ‘The Hulk’.
Gradie and I were at Target this weekend and we HAD to check out everything Marvel, while we were I snapped these fun pictures!!
Seventh was Scarlet Johansson who plays ‘Black Widow’.
The final, and likely the biggest, announcement was that Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth – ‘Captain America’ and ‘Thor’, would also be at the interviews.
The Avengers Facebook page today announced that Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron videos are available on Amazon. Of course you can also shop the Avengers Store on Amazon – I know I am checking it out, we just love the Avengers in our house!!

I would be so star struck!
Maybe ask what they do to get into character. How do they transition from themselves into someone/something different?

In the post you said you would interview on Saturday March 11. Did you mean April 11? Anyway, I love the airplane they get around in on Marvel: Agents of Shield, and I hope you get to visit that part of the set! Questions I would ask: to Jeremy Renner, how good is he at archery in real life? To all of the actors playing superheroes, I would ask if they think their character is going to have a love interest at some point.
Stephanie Keeping says
Believe it or not I have not seen this yet. I really need to add this to my to do.
Jennifer Short says
I would love to ask the people at Marvel how do they come up with all these amazing stories. Their imagination must be off the charts. Maybe the director Joss Whedon or producer and president of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige could answer that.
Cannot wait to see all your posts and pictures as your adventure progresses over the 3 days.
Johanna Torres says
You should ask Aaron and Elizabeth how the feel about playing twins and if they would like to work together again.
Have fun!
