I’m going!! Yes it’s true – I’ve worked hard to have this chance and that hard work has paid off and I was fortunate enough to be selected to attend The Avengers Event in Los Angeles from April 9 to 11. I’m sure you’re asking yourself, “What does that mean?” Don’t worry I’m going to tell you ALL about it.
It was about a week ago, I got an email and the subject was ‘Marvel & Disney invite you to Los Angeles!’ I read it, and I re-read it – all before even opening the email. I felt like I had to check my glasses, was I really seeing what I thought I was seeing?
I’m happy to report I was seeing correctly!!
Around noon on April 9th I will board a plane to Los Angeles. Once I arrive I will be blessed to meet 24 phenomenal bloggers who also received this invite, and we will then embark on a wonderful experience.
We will be seeing Disneynature’s Monkey Kingdom, which will be released in theaters on April 17 (which happens to be my birthday, what an amazing early birthday present for me).
Set in the storied jungles of South Asia, “Monkey Kingdom” showcases the adventures of new mom Maya, a clever and resourceful blonde-bobbed monkey who’s determined to give her son a leg up in the world. Here is a trailer of Monkey Kingdom for you to enjoy;
I know I am going to thoroughly enjoy this movie, just like I loved Disneynature’s Chimpanzee in 2012. Who doesn’t like monkeys, right?!
As if getting to watch the movie wasn’t cool enough, we will also get to visit the Monkey Exhibits at the LA Zoo after the screening. This is going to be such a wonderful experience, I plan on taking lots and lots of pictures to share this experience with my family, and of course YOU, my readers.

As the title of this post states, this event is called the Avengers Event. In addition to all the excitement above, we will also be seeing a preview screening of Avengers: Age of Ultron AND there will be a press junket where we will be interviewing members of the cast of the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie, the celebrities haven’t been named yet, and still I can NOT control my excitement, it all seems too good to be true – but it is true!! 🙂
I am sure you are as excited for the new Avengers movie as I am, I mean we’ve been waiting for 3 years now, right? If you’re not excited for yourself I’m confident there is a Marvel/Avengers fan in your life that is excited for the Age of Ultron movie. That’s why I am sharing these trailers and extended TV spots with you, watch them and share them with your the Marvel/Avengers fans in your home. (I happened to marry into a family that I am convinced are the biggest Marvel/Avengers fans there are!)
A snippet about the movie – When Tony Stark jumpstarts a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as they battle to save the planet from destruction at the hands of the villainous Ultron.

Well, I would hope that Mark Ruffalo was there. I have been a Hulk fan since the 70’s when he was the Incredible Hulk played by Lou Ferrigno. I would like to know how excited he is about the costume update to the new microfiber shorts. I would also like to know if the make up and costume part of the transformation is extremely time consuming or if nearly everything is CGI.

Wow how exciting this all sounds. I am already getting impatient waiting for this movie to start. Robert Downey Jnr. Will hopefully be at the press junkett. Mmmm what would I ask him. Are those Iron man suits as easy to get on as they make it look in the movies.
