Studio BGD Toys Review

& Prize Pack Giveaway!!

studio bgd toys

Have you heard of Studio BGD?  I hadn’t until I was looking for unique educational toys, you know the toys where your little one is learning without even realizing it – those toys!  I found them when I stumbled upon the Studio BGD website.  However, Studio BGD is not all only about toys, they also have a range of Decor, Storage, Travel and Fancy Nancy products, I encourage you to check out their website to see all they offer.

A little about Studio BGD from their website;

WE ARE PRODUCT AND GRAPHIC DESIGNERS THAT LOVE FASHION, INTERIORS, TRENDS, COLORS AND CONSTANT INNOVATION.

We like to explore worlds where Ninjas wear tutus, owls can be friends with whales and we work in a place where design has no limits.

We started the company in 2013 to make great products for kids of all ages. In a very short time we have expanded our line to include Toys, Decor, Travel, Slumber, and Storage and Organization. Our imaginations have no limit.. Let us accessorize your life one item at a time.

I am blessed to be able to tell you about the wonderful toys we received for Gradie to try out.  Gradie sure does love being a product tester, I mean which kid doesn’t want to play with toys – right?  Please take a look at the pictures before of Gradie playing with all her new toys and puzzles, she is having so much fun.  Hard to get her to look at the camera becuase she’s just too busy!  We were lucky enough to receive 5 fantastic products; the Giraffe Stacker, the Stacking Zoo Puzzle, the Dino Puzzle, the Under the Sea Puzzle and the Shape Sorter and Puzzle.

GIRAFFE STACKER

This is my favorite, oh I mean Gradie’s favorite 😉 !!  She just loves it, she’ll bring it over to me with all the pieces put together, then one by one take them all off and very methodically put them back on.  She has a routine all pieces have to come off, be placed on the floor/couch/my lap (where ever she is playing) and then they all have to be put back again.  She doesn’t always get it put back together in the right order, but in the short time we’ve had this toy I’ve already noticed the improvement in how she is taking them off and putting them back, the speed with which she’s doing it and I love seeing her hand eye coordination improve, all while she is PLAYING!!

The Giraffe Stacker comes in fun bright colors and the pieces are just the right size for little Gradie to handle.  It is made out of Locust Wood & Pinewood.  At just 7.25″ x 3″ it is great to play with and also makes a fun decoration on the shelf in Gradie’s room, which has giraffes as a theme.

SHAPE SORTER AND PUZZLE

This is a Shape Sorter like you’ve not seen before.  When it arrived it was in a box, a relatively flat box and both Jeanna and I were wondering how the heck this shape sorter fit in such a flat box.  Only once we opened it up did we realize that it comes unassembled, allowing your child the opportunity to put it together as they wish.  Gradie, at 18 months, was a little young to put it together herself (this toy is rated 2+ years) but not to worry her mom’s were very happy to help her out, we’re all kids at heart, right?

The Shape Sorter and Puzzle has 8 different characters that your child will match together, this teaches them the concept of matching things together that go together.  Once it is assembled you use the lid as the shape sorter which further helps your little one develop their matching skills, by matching up the shapes into the holes in the lid.  Gradie isn’t spot on with this but she is getting better at it – practice makes perfect 🙂

The Shape Sorter measures in at 7″ x 7″ x 4.45″, is extremely easy to pack away and store and is made out of Plywood, Rubber wood and MDF.

DINO PUZZLE & UNDER THE SEA PUZZLE

Both the Dino and Under the Seat Puzzles are great for little hands.  They’re designed for little ones aged 2+, but that didn’t stop Gradie from loving them.  Sure she doesn’t always get the pieces in the right spots, but she gets close and she tries, which I also think is so important.  We also use the pieces to start teaching her colors and she loves saying RAWRRR with the dinosaurs.

The puzzles measure 11″ x 0.75″ x 8″ and are made from real wood.

STACKING ZOO PUZZLE

I just love how fun and unique this Stacking Zoo Puzzle is.  It simply stacks one on top of the other and teaches our littles to differentiate colors and work on their size determination by attempting to get the pieces in the correct order.  The puzzle pieces have an elephant, hippo, giraffe, lion and monkey – all of which Gradie loves making their noises and showing off how smart she is 🙂

Also make out of real wood and measures in at 8″ x 1″ x 8″ and is designed for kids ages 2+.

All of the toys we received range in price from $16 to $20 – extremely reasonable for such high quality toys that I am confident you kids will love, just like Gradie does!  Of course I know you just cannot wait to get your hands on these amazing toys and while you’re online browsing the Studio BGD website, I encourage you to like and follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

I am beyond excited to tell you that the very kind people over at Studio BGD have offered to host a giveaway where a lucky winner will receive the Under the Sea Puzzle, Stacking Zoo Puzzle and the Giraffe Stacker ~ a $54 retail value!  Click HERE to enter NOW!!

I’ve not heard of this toy company before. But sturdy toys are a wonder to have these days. Wooden toys guarantee hours of play over and over. When my kids were younger they had similar toys and with 7 kids it was a god send because they lasted so long. I love your pics. 🙂
