I know we’re all looking for safe products for our little ones to use – safe for them, and trying to play our role in being kind to the earth. I work hard to bring you products that meet these needs and wants for our family’s, and I have exciting news to share – I found a company who is doing their part to keep our kids safe, all the while doing their part to be kind to the earth.
Re-Play Recycled is that company. Their products are made from recycled milk jugs – GENIUS!!!
I know you’re asking yourself – HOW do they do that? I wondered too, and let’s face it, I was a little skeptical and I wanted to know just how well this sort of product would hold up. As for how they do it – the recycled plastic is sanitized by a special process whereby anything that might have been absorbed into the plastic is removed. Most importantly, the recycled plastic that Re-Play Recycled uses is FDA approved as food grade material. As for how they hold up, I am happy to report after numerous uses and being washed in the dishwasher they are still in great shape and I really don’t think that is going to change as they’re extremely durable.
One thing I noticed, when I received the products that were sent for Gradie to try out, is that their packaging is also made from recycled materials and they include no unnecessary plastic, foam, or other items that just cause waste – that makes me think the company truly does have the earth, and it’s well being, at its forefront.
We were lucky enough to receive a divided plate, utensils, a no spill cup and a drinking cup.
I love that the divided plate has DEEP walls, I believe this is my favorite feature. Gradie is able to use it without pushing her food off of her plate, it’s great. The dimensions of the plate are – 7.375″ by 7.375″ by 1.25″, perfect for your toddler, and take a look at Gradie in action eating lunch, it fits perfectly onto her high chair table.
As you can see in the picture Gradie is working really hard on mastering the art of using her utensils. I won’t lie and say she doesn’t still revert to using her hands, but she likes the concept of doing it herself, which toddler doesn’t, and you can see the pride on her little face when we celebrate her using the fork and spoon.
The No Spill Cup works exactly as they state it will – spill proof. There is a one piece, easy clean silicone valve which keeps your child’s drinks IN their cup, not on your carpet, car seat, etc. I love that the valve is easy to clean and that it is just one piece, I am not a fan of some sippy’s that make it seem like you need an engineering degree to put them back together. The Re-Play Recycled no spill cup is a great size for little hands to grasp and drink from.
