Well, I do believe it’s important to change your walking/running shoes every so often, however, I’ve had my sneakers now for a year or so! I can’t afford to purchase them whenever I feel I need a pair, I have to wait until the pair I have are falling apart in order to justify purchasing a new pair! Thanks, Michele 🙂

I do think it’s important to get new shoes regularly, however, I’ve had my same pair for around five years. It’s important for me to keep active and I walk every year for Walk MS as I have Multiple Sclerosis so I want to walk for as long as I can! Hopefully for the rest of my life! 🙂

I do think its important to get new shoes ever so often for the simple fact the arches and soles wear out. But unfortunately I can’t afford to buy them like i wish i could. The last pair of new shoes I bought myself was last year. A pair of saucony I bought off of amazon with money I’ve earned from surveys.. Needless to say, the shoes don’t really fit. and the size was way off..

  9. Sandra Watts says

    February 5, 2015 at 00:37

I replace them when I feel they are worn. I think it is good to have a couple pair to switch instead of wearing the same every day.

  10. Adrienne gordon says

Yes, I change them out every 350 miles

  13. Sandy Klocinski says

    February 5, 2015 at 06:55

Yes I do think it is important to my health to buy new walking shoes regularly. And I don’t replace my walking shoes nearly as often as I should. Good shoes are so expensive that I usually wear mine until they are falling apart

  14. nickie says

    February 5, 2015 at 08:27

    February 5, 2015 at 09:45

I buy shoes for workout about once a year.

  20. Jane Thomas says

  24. RJ says

    February 5, 2015 at 14:40

If you are a regular runner/walker, then I think it’s very important to change out your shoes on a regular basis to prevent injuries. I usually change mine out every 6 months or so. For regular sneakers then I think you are ok buying shoes as needed.

  26. Pam S F says

I do think it’s important for good foot health – I change mine about once a year.

  27. Kelly says

    February 5, 2015 at 16:13

Changing out my shoes, and always having good, supportive shoes is vital to my health. If my feet are not happy, neither is any of the rest of me. I think that the feet are the base of support. If they are in bad alignment, everything else hits the ground wrong, and can lead to injury.

  28. Brigitte B says

    February 5, 2015 at 16:21

I do think its important to get new shoes regularly. However, I am a single mom who spends money on the things my kids need before thinking about spending a dime on myself. Therefore I am sad to say that I can only afford to purchase shoes for myself every couple of years or so.

  29. Kristi C says

    February 5, 2015 at 16:45

I do believe it is important and I change my shoes once a year.

  30. Kathy Lausche says

    February 5, 2015 at 17:52

I usually buy a new pair once a year. If I feel like the support in my shoe is breaking down a little I’ll get a new pair sooner. I think it is very important to take care of your feet.

  31. Yvonne Appleton says

    February 5, 2015 at 20:19

I know that it’s important to change shoes somewhat regularly, but I rarely buy new shoes. Usually I wait until my shoes are totally worn out to buy new ones (I know, it’s bad!)

  32. Jennifer M. says

    February 6, 2015 at 08:04

  37. Rhonda says

    February 6, 2015 at 18:59

Yes i think it is important to buy a pair of walking shoes as frequently as you can. I can only afford to do this about every 15 months but if I could, I would buy a new pair every 6 months.

  38. June S. says

  39. Samantha Daleo says

    February 6, 2015 at 21:50

    February 7, 2015 at 19:05

  46. Gayle S says

    February 7, 2015 at 20:50

Wearing proper fitting footwear is important to how the rest of your body functions which is why replacing your shoes regularly helps your overall health. Unfortunately, when money is tight it is the first thing that gets put on the back burner. The shoes I wear most often are now 3 years old. YIKES!

  47. Michele P says

    February 7, 2015 at 21:22

I do think it’s important to have a good, quality pair of shoes for the gym and walking. I usually get a new pair every 6-8 months, sometimes sooner, sometimes later, depending on my activity level.

  48. Lauren says

    February 7, 2015 at 23:47

I’m sure it’s better for you to change your shoes to help keep you aligned and pain free. However, I usually get new shoes when my current ones are completely destroyed.

  49. CASSANDRA HUBER says

    February 8, 2015 at 08:32

  54. Ashley C says

    February 9, 2015 at 06:07

  55. Esperanza Gailliard says

    February 9, 2015 at 19:14

Yes, I think that it is absolutely imperative that you walk with good shoes without holes etc. Also one that fits right too. I am a diabetic and feel that shoes can make you or break you. Good shoes ensure that your feet are safe and that you keep your limbs intact!

  56. Sandi says

    February 9, 2015 at 19:48

I have R.A. and I also have high insteps and I have found that if I do not change my walking shoes regularly I have difficulty walking, my feet hurt and I feel awful! When I change to new shoes that fit me well it’s as if I am a new woman and all my problems go away. I have donated so many pair because they just weren’t for me and/or I waited too long or wore them so I couldn’t return them. I would feel so blessed to try the Therafit shoes from the New Collection!

Yes! Growing up my mother always told me to take extra speciall y good care of my eyes and my feet ~ and in return they would help bring me many years of adventure and joy ~ and she was right!

I LOVE to travel and walk, wander all over the world! And there is nothing more important than comfortable quality shoes and hopefully they can also be “good looking” Therafit shoes fit all three needs!

And Yes I buy new walking shoes often, and I always have several pair I really like to wear. Under any and all circumstances ~ I HAVE TO have comfortable shoes!

  63. Dawn Keenan says

    February 12, 2015 at 17:42

I don’t really know if it’s healthy to change/update your shoes, but I know if I don’t have the right shoes, I’m going to get a back ache!

  64. AndreaH says

    February 12, 2015 at 19:41

I guess I never really thought about shoes and health together other than walking. So, no I have not considered it a necessity and usually I only buy new shoes when the ones I have on wear out. I guess I can see how it might be good for your health and I will probably think about it differently now.

  65. Lisa Voyce says

    February 12, 2015 at 21:26

  67. Michelle Proper says

  71. Sherry Conrad says

    February 15, 2015 at 19:26

Yes, I do – I always have several pairs and never wear the same one twice in a row. When they start to loose their oomph, I put them in the yuck chores around the house pile. 🙂

  72. Jennifer Reed says

Yes, I do consider it important to replace running shoes on a regular basis. It really depends on how often you are running but I replace mine yearly.

  73. Trisha McKee says

    February 15, 2015 at 21:06

Yes, I definitely think it is important to keep your shoes updated and not let them get worn out. I buy a new pair in the spring, once it gets warm out and my hikes start.

  74. Betty C says

    February 15, 2015 at 22:55

I know it’s important to change shoes, so I have several pairs that I rotate. I don’t buy new shoes every year though.
