Safety 1st Advanced SE 65 Air + Convertible Car Seat Review!!

Safety 1st Advanced SE 65 Air + Convertible Car Seat Review

safety 1st

Car seat safety is a # 1 priority in our house.  We are very firm believers that little ones should be rear facing until AT LEAST 2 years old, but Gradie will be rear facing for longer than that.  I posted about Child Passenger Safety Week a while ago, click HERE to read it.

Now I am lucky to have received this amazing Safety 1st Advanced SE 65 Air + Convertible Car Seat to review, and GIVEAWAY to a lucky reader.  I hope you are just as excited as I am, read on to learn more about this amazing convertible car seat, you will not be disappointed.

Safety 1st introduces the latest seat featuring Air Protect + technology.

safety 1st car seat

The Safety 1st  Advance 65 Air + Convertible Car Seat has Air Protect + which keeps our little ones, from 5-65 pounds much safer in the car. The technical explanation (from the Safety 1st website) of this car seat is; “Air Protect + combines the advanced protection of the Air Protect® cushion system with patented GCell HX™ foam designed with hexagonal shapes for superior protection around the torso.”

What I know is that these two features, the Air Protect + and the GCell HX foam TOGETHER provide full body side impact protection.  When we drive in our vehicles we have side impact protection, why wouldn’t we insist on having this for our children?

The Safety 1st Advanced SE 65 Air + allows your child to be rear facing from 5 through 40 pounds, which is fantastic.  You can bring your newborn home in this chair and use it, rear facing for a long period of time – Gradie is 18 months old and weighs 22 lbs, so she has some growing to do yet while remaining rear facing 🙂

safety 1st car seat

Once your child switches to forward facing they can continue to use this chair until they’re 65 lbs.  I am not sure when Gradie might get to 65 lbs, but I am confident that you would get great value for your money by investing in the Safety 1st Advanced SE 65 Air + Convertible Car Seat.  One seat from birth through 65 lbs, that’s fantastic.

If I haven’t convinced you yet that this is the right seat for your little one, then read on……The Safety 1st Advanced SE 65 Air + has a steel-reinforced metal frame for extra stability.  It has 4 reclining positions to ensure a great fit for your car and to make installation less complicated (because some seats are really hard to install), the Advance 65 Air + comes with color coordinated belt paths as well as labels to make installation as easy as possible, as well as correctly!

Safety 1st Car Seat

Lastly I wanted to tell you about the well padded headrest (pictured above, excuse the doll buckled in, there is only so much a toddler is willing to participate with 😉  and for her sitting, strapped into a chair so her mom’s could take pictures just wasn’t on her schedule)  that provides our little ones the protection they need so badly right where they need it.  Also, the headrest has 10 positions, enabling it to grow with your child as they grow from birth through 65 lbs.  Of course the cup holder is a nice bonus feature, be it to keep a bottle, a sippy or even to house some snacks for the road, I’m sure your child will enjoy it as much as Gradie does.

I encourage you to head over to the Safety 1st website to learn all about their great products.  While you’re online check out their Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram pages that way you’ll stay informed of new product developments and promotions.

I’m loving that it has superior protection around the torso. Also, it’s great that it grows with your child. No need to spend additional money on a variety of seats.

I really like that it starts at 5 pounds but isn’t an infant-only seat. My last was a preemie so #2 on the way could use a seat that can handle her no matter how small she is.

I love that bloggers like you do honest in depth reviews because our family has been out of the car seat business for many years and they’re coming back again. I love how this can last up to 65 pounds! Amazing. Especially after another blogger shared last week her daughter killed in an accident because of a booster seat. I’ll make sure everyone around me knows to keep them in the real 5 point harness seats.

    Thank you!

I loved your review and after reading it I knew it is the car set for my Grand Son due in April. His Mom is 33 and waited a long time for this little one and I know that to both of us his safety comes first. I am trying to win her one due to all the changes in her life she is going through and her Dad and I are both disabled/retired with not much income. We bought lots of what she needed for Christmas despite the financial strain and having 3 other Grand Children. her Sister would gladly pass down her baby stuff to her but her son just turned a year in January so needless to say, she needs it. She is living in CA and has been transferred to WA in March that’s just one month before the baby is due. She is burdened with the expense of relocating and furnishing a home and all that and then soon child care. She works so their is no government help for her. I like to thank you for you for your time involved in this and Safety 1st for their generosity of a much needed necessity in a baby’s life and safety!

I love that this car seat offers side impact protection for my little one making me feel so much more safe for them. I also love that it will grow with my son til he reaches 65 pounds eliminating the need to have to buy another one as he grows.

i love this! car seats have changed a ton since i last got one for my first, and even then, it was a baby shower gift from my sister so i didnt have to think about it until it came to the time to buy a new one because at a little over a year she didnt fit in the original anymore. trying to figure out what the BEST car seat for your child is is hard. i went ahead and did my own little research and it seems that this is the best car seat for baby. it grows with them and its one less thing to have to worry about knowing that a lot of thought was put into making sure this seat is safe for infants as well as small toddlers with parents wallets in mind. thanks for hosting this review and giveaway, my fingers are crossed that my newest little one gets a great safety seat to ride in from hospital and around town.
