I think my favorite valentine’s gift was time alone with my hubby. I night away with him and someone to watch our children. It has been a while since we have had a night alone, but I remember this gift well. It was the best!!

Besides our usual candy and chocolate growing up, my parents always got us something new for whichever sport season it was, ball glove, bat, etc. My most memorable was my new pair of track shoes….went well with the See’s Bordeaux, which I still can’t get enough of…

Once when my children were at school I brought out the big apes that I had bought them for Valentines and dressed them in new boots and winter coats that I had purchased. I then propped them up on their beds with a large heart full of candy.
They were so excited when they went to put their school things in their rooms. We still talk and laugh about that Valentines Day.
