Peaceable Kingdom Games Review & Giveaway
Have you heard of Peaceable Kingdom Games? Don’t worry I hadn’t either, but Peaceable Kingdom has been around since 1983 creating fresh, fun products that educate, stimulate and inspire! Beginning with one single product and growing to an industry leader in stickers, greeting cards and cooperative games.
A cooperative game is a game where all the players play together against a common goal, not against each other. In a cooperative game no one feels left out and everyone has fun! Peaceable Kingdom’s cooperative board games use familiar game mechanisms like spinning a spinner, matching cards, moving a token, and strategizing a win! The only difference is that everyone cooperates together!
Since Gradie is a little young I let Cousin Elliot pick some games to try, she chose Sunny Day Pond to start!
It’s a great game to play, work as a team to build three animal puzzles before the rain comes. Everyone takes turns spinning the spinner and adding puzzle pieces. Finish the puzzles before all the rain drops on the board and everyone wins! Unlike most games, Sunny Day Pond encourages kids to work together to build the puzzles. This way kids learn to help each other.
Once we mastered the puzzles, we tried to “Count Your Chickens”.
The baby chicks have lost their way and we have to help Mother hen collect her babies and bring them back to the coop! We start by putting the 40 baby chicks all around the board and Mother Hen on start. The object of the game is to get all 40 chicks back inside the coop before Mother Hen get to the coop at the end of the board. Everyone takes a turn spinning and moving Mother Hen, counting the number of spaces she travels. For each space Mother Hen travels, players collect that number of baby chicks and place them back in the coop. Watch out for the fox… the spinner lands on the fox a baby chick escapes from the coop. Everyone works together to get all the baby chicks back to the coop before Mother Hen.
Each of these Peaceable Kingdom (click link to buy now) games is only $15.99 and would make a great gift for under the tree this holiday season. Teach your little ones how to work together towards a common goal and that everyone can WIN!! While you’re online picking these games up make sure to swing by Peaceable Games Facebook page, be kept up to date on all of their product releases and promotions.
