November 11, 2014 By Africa

Disclosure: I received the a BubbleBum, in order to facilitate my review. All opinions are my own and honest. I am disclosing this in accordance to FTC Guidelines.

Gradie is still too small for a booster seat, but the thought has crossed my mind, what will we do when we travel, be it to South Africa, or just a small vacation to another state, when she is a bit older.  I know lugging her full sized car seat with us through the airport recently wasn’t much fun.  That is why I started researching what we can use in situations like this, just trying to be prepared for when the time comes.  That is when I found the BubbleBum, and I am sure glad I did.

Did you know that a booster seat can come in a bag? Yup – a bag! The BubbleBum is a FMVSS 213 (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard) approved booster seat that is inflatable, and small enough to fit in a bag.  Say WHAT?  The BubbleBum is so easy to deflate, get into it’s bag and take along with you on all of your trips to ensure your little one is always as safe as possible while in the car.bubble bum package

When taken out of the bag, you twist the little black valve to allow air to be blown into it. Blow it up (only takes about 20 seconds) and twist the black valve back to close it. Once it’s filled up, you’re ready to use it. I was really worried I would have to turn blue in the face trying to get this blown up, kind of like you do with air mattresses and the like, but it definitely is NOT like that.  Just take a look at the video below – it shows just how easy the BubbleBum is to use;

As I said above, the BubbleBum fits into a bag and weighing less than half a pound it is perfect to take along with you on all your trips, but trips are not the only reason you might use the BubbleBum, it is also easy to take along when your kids head out with friends and family who might not have a booster seat in their vehicle.

There are some features/specifications that are important to remember with the BubbleBum, to ensure that your child is as safe as possible!!  It is for kids aged 4 through 11 that are between 40 and 100 pounds and up to 57 inches tall.  Additionally, remember that when using a backless booster, a child always needs to have a vehicle headrest behind their head that comes at least to the tips of their ears.

The BubbleBum comes in 4 colors; black & silver, purple & lime, neon yellow and neon pink and at only $30 it is extremely affordable, I plan on picking up a few so that they are available for all those trip Gradie will take where she might otherwise not have a booster seat.  You can pick them up on the BubbleBum website by clicking HERE, and of course you can Buy the BubbleBum Inflatable Car Booster Seat on Amazon.

I recommend you head over to Pinterest, Facebook & Twitter to follow BubbleBum – make sure you don’t miss out on any promotions as they come along!!

    This is a great review, thanks so much for sharing. I have been thinking of something that we could take along with us on an upcoming trip for Thanksgiving for my 7 year old to use in the rental car, this is the perfect thing and at such a great price I am going to pick one up for sure!

    Thanks again!!

    Wow this is perfect for all us grannies out there that would otherwise not have a booster seat in our car. I will make a point of getting one and keeping it in my car.

    Love this! When my children needed booster seats they were clumsy and uncomfortable, and not portable friendly at all. I want one of these for my little nephew who comes to visit.

    Very interesting and unique design. I would love to see it in real life and experience its fabric, textures, and functionality.
