Balance Bar Summer Shape Up Challenge
#BalanceShapeUp
Doesn’t it always feel like we’re looking for the next easy way to lose weight? Since having Gradie I’ve often contemplated an easy way to lose those last few pounds that are just hanging around, but usually I lose interest before putting in too much time and effort because, let’s face it, losing weight is NOT easy………Well that is until I came across the Balance Bar Summer Shape Up Challenge!!
I’m always up for a challenge, it makes achieving those goals that much more fun when you’re challenged to do it. That is why I jumped at the opportunity to review Balance Bars, and participate in the Balance Bar Summer Shape Up Challenge – and I am sure glad I did.
I received a Walmart gift card to purchase some of my favorite flavor Balance Bars, as well as other items from Walmart. As you can see below I decided on the Cookie Dough, Peanut Butter, and Double Chocolate Brownie flavors, can you say YUMMY?
We were lucky enough to treat ourselves to a few other fun summer goodies while shopping at Walmart, just look at all the fun stuff that ended up in my cart. Some delicious treats, some new sippy’s for little Gradie and of course some sunblock, you have to be safe in the sun 🙂 – and not pictured is a little blow up pool for Gradie to splash around in (of course I might join her too, on those hot summer days!)
I hear you asking me – WHAT is the Balance Bar Summer Shape Up Challenge all about? I am here to tell you – it is a 40-day Challenge that is filled with 30-minute workouts, healthy eating tips and multiple social media giveaways on Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter. Holly Del Rosso, an NASM certified personal trainer, created the exercise program which includes 18 different 30-minute workouts focused on different parts of the body such as abs, legs and back, just click HERE to learn more.
That’s it – just 30 minutes a day! I know we’re all busy, but most of us can set aside 30 minutes – I do it after I get Gradie down to bed. Eating the delicious Balance Bars, keeps me from eating ‘junk food’ to fill the gap when I get hungry and with over 20 flavors to choose from, and the 40/30/30 nutrition model, Balance Bars keep me fuller for longer and they give me more energy, which I can always use!! ( 40% of total calories from carbohydrates, 30% from protein and 30% from dietary fat.) Combining the healthy snacks with the fun exercise routine is helping me drop those unwanted pounds I’ve hung on to for a year since Gradie was born.
There will be a Twitter party on July 31, 2014 (3 P.M. ET), use the hashtag #BalanceShapeUp to participate and you could earn some nice prizes – make sure to put it on the schedule so you don’t miss it!!
Now I am happy to bring you a fun giveaway – one lucky winner will receive a $10 Walmart Gift Card as well as a variety pack of Balance Bars to try at your house. All you have to do is enter via the easy to complete rafflecopter entry form below.

I have always known this, and want to share what they said also. You need to eat many small meals daily. Most people think you should eat breakfast, dinner, and supper. Not true. You should eat small at each meal and when you are hungry between, eat small then also. That way you don’t overeat.
