We decided Gradie should have some swimming lessons before our trip back to South Africa this summer (to meet her family members over there), we’ll be by a pool and going to the ocean, so we wanted to get her used to the water.  She loves bath time, so I was sure she’d LOVE swim lessons, right?  Boy was I wrong, and it didn’t take me long to figure out why, Gradie loves bathing in WARM water, and the water in the pool we had swimming lessons in was NOT warm.  It wasn’t freezing, but it was not bath water.

Luckily, we were approached to review the Konfidence Babywarma and Aqua Nappy right after we started with swimming lessons.  I say luckily because the Konfidence Babywarma is made from 2mm thick neoprene that is designed to keep your little ones (from 0 through 24 months) warmer in the pool – exactly what we needed.  Now I know that Gradie won’t always swim in warm water, but while we’re working on getting her used to pools and swimming, we figured it’d make a lot more sense to keep her as comfortable as possible so as to not hate going in the water.

The Konfidence Babywarma has many great features.  One that I love, is that it makes it easier for me to get a good grip on Gradie while she’s splashing about in the water.  Little ones are sure slippery in the pool, but while she was wearing the Babywarma I had no problems holding onto her with complete confidence.  I also like that the Babywarma provides UV protection and that it opens up completely flat that makes it easy to get on and off, a very important feature to help make those quick diaper changes that we know our little ones need sometimes.

Speaking of diapers – I was also lucky enough to receive a Konfidence AquaNappy.  At Gradie’s swim lessons it is a requirement that all little ones who are not potty trained wear a swim diaper, so receiving the AquaNappy was fantastic.   The AquaNappy is designed for your child from age 3 through 30 months, and is a one size fits all ‘nappy’.  Gradie has done some growing as we’ve progressed through her first set of swimming lessons and the AquaNappy has done great in growing right along with her.  We all know how much I love products that grow with your child, helping us save money as our children can use it for longer then just 1 or 2 months.  Speaking of saving money, using a reusable swimming diaper helps you do just that – save $$, no more throwing the disposable diapers in the trash (along with your hard earned money).
