Baby Merlin’s Magic Sleepsuit Review
The best gift a parent can get with a newborn… a GREAT night’s sleep! With Gradie this didn’t come easy. Baby Gradie had a rough going in the beginning with some bad reflux, the only thing that would get her to sleep was a tightened up swaddle and an abundance of kisses! Months later, Gradie was nearly a foot taller and the swaddle was stretched as far as it would. Time for a transition from swaddle in bassinet to on the back in the crib!
Baby Merlin’s Magic Sleepsuit is an innovative baby sleepwear designed for back sleeping in a crib. It provides baby the coziness and fabric weight of a baby blanket without the risk of loose bedding. The gentle weight of the fabric is a unique feature that provides input that calms the twitches and involuntary movements that can wake up a baby prematurely; allowing babies to sleep better on their backs for longer periods of time.
We used the Sleepsuit just like you would any other sleeper. We dressed Gradie in an onsie and put her in the suit and zipped it up. Gradie is a hot sleeper so we decided a onesie was enough for her but you can dress baby in whatever you feel is necessary. The Sleepsuit has two zippers to get baby in quickly and gently if baby is already a bit sleepy. It also makes it easier for midnight diaper changes!
Jeanna and I started using the Baby Merlin’s Magic Sleepsuit with Gradie first with her naps. She has always been a good napper so we figured it would be easiest to know if it was working. 🙂 Baby Merlin suggests you start as close to the 3 month age as possible to get the maximum amount of time and benefits from the suit. Baby can wear the Sleepsuit as long as baby fits in it or is comfortable wearing it, and is sleeping on their back. Enjoy as many restful nights as you can until baby is ready to transition out of the Sleepsuit. As soon as baby begins to roll over, you should transition them out of the Magic Sleepsuit.
It took Gradie about a week of naps in the Sleepsuit and two rough nights to sleep in the crib in the Sleepsuit. I think Baby Merlin did a great job and helped us out a lot. Gradie seems to like it 🙂 and happy baby’s make for happy Mom’s! Just take a look at her happy face after a great night of sleep!!
Baby Merlin’s Magic Sleepsuit is a great gift for new parents. It’s something you don’t know you’ll need until you CAN’T sleep! 🙂 For just $39.95 you can sleep through the night in no time!
