Bouncy Baby Boutique Baltic Amber Teething Necklace Review & Giveaway! (ends 1/30)

January 24, 2014 By Africa

I received a Baltic Amber teething necklace and anklet, free of charge, to facilitate my review. Regardless, all opinions are 100% my own.

Bouncy Baby Boutique Baltic Amber Teething Necklace Review

We all know teething is NO fun!!  We are learning that right now with Gradie, she has good days and some bad days, so off I went to research ways to help ease her pain and overall discomfort.  I stumbled upon the Bouncy Baby Boutique and I am sure happy I did.

Bouncy Baby Boutique offers a wide variety of Baltic Amber necklaces and bracelets/anklets, for adults as well as teething products for our little ones.  I bet I know what you are now wondering – WHAT is Baltic Amber?  That is exactly what I thought to myself, and so I read on.

I have taken the following from the Bouncy Baby Boutique’s website, explaining more about Baltic Amber;

Baltic Amber is found in and around the Baltic sea where an ancient species of trees was washed to shore to fossilize and create the unique and healing resin we know as Baltic Amber.  What makes Baltic Amber so effective is it’s high content of succinic acid. Succinic acid is a natural pain reliever, anti-inflammatory, and central nervous system calmer.

Now that we have that scientific stuff out of the way I will share with you a couple things.  First, I LOVE the Baltic Amber teething necklace and anklet we received from Bouncy Baby Boutique for Gradie.  We received the Honey & Butterscotch necklace and anklet, the necklace is pictured below.

Second, I really like that this is a natural way to ease Gradie’s discomfort.  She has worn her necklace for a few weeks now and has experienced absolutely no side effects.  Of course I am NO doctor, and therefore cannot speak to anything scientific or otherwise as they relate to these necklaces, all I can say is that it has worked, and worked well for Gradie.  She is less fussy, the amount of drool is cut down considerably and overall is a happier baby as she navigates her way through cutting her teeth.

I am sure you are thinking, as I did, a necklace, on a baby?  Is that safe?  As with anything you give to or use with your little one NEVER do so unsupervised!!  The teething products sold by Bouncy Baby Boutique have some safety features that helped put my mind at ease.  Every bead on the necklaces and anklets are individually knotted, to prevent loss of beads if the string breaks, which it will do under pressure, which is an added security feature.  Also, the necklace fastens with a tension-release clasp, which again will snap open under pressure.  You should remove the necklace from your child’s neck while sleeping.

Below are a couple pictures of Gradie wearing her Bouncy Baby Boutique Baltic Amber Teething Necklace.  They aren’t great quality pictures, it sure is hard to get a 6 month old to cooperate with me wanting to get that ‘perfect’ picture 🙂
