Have you been in an electronic store lately or in any electronics department?  There is now an entire section for just E-Readers… Everyone had their version and they are all so similar so which is the one for you?  Let me try and help with that. 

Jeanna and I have a tablet that we got prior to going to South Africa last year and we love it.  Jeanna was using it to read almost every mommy to be books at night, at work, pretty much all day (there is a ton of information we need to learn)!  Anyway, Jeanna was complaining that the tablet was too big to lug around and the battery had to be charged all the time and if she missed one day it was dead for work, not to mention all the complaints about the ads and pop ups!  So, I went to work to make Jeanna happy… thankfully Staples was able to help. Staples is the world’s largest office products company and second largest internet retailer and they just happen to sell the Sony 6” Digital E-Reader!

With an anti-glare screen and text as crisp as the morning breeze of the lake with 800 x 600 resolution that can be easily read even in the sunlight!  The Sony 6” Digital E-Reader (model PRST2HBC) is portable, light and fits in the palm of my hand!  The E-Reader can hold thousands of books, magazines and articles from the classics to the latest bestsellers!  Just browse the reader store to purchase that book you’ve been dying to read or visit the world’s first wireless public library and “check-out” that magazine you saw at the grocery store for FREE!  You can even save a website or document right from the web to finish reading later.

What sold Jeanna and I on this Sony 6” Digital E-Reader was the battery life!  Sony claims that a single charge lasts up to two months (no wi-fi use) based on using the E-Reader for 30 minutes a day OR 6 weeks with wi-fi on… CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!  WE received the E-Reader about two weeks ago and have been using it with wi-fi on for about 30 minutes then with wi-fi off for 30 minutes (or so) and still haven’t had to charge it. I know it’s still only 2 weeks but I AM IMPRESSED!  As an added bonus – the  Sony 6” Digital E-Reader comes with a BONUS Harry Potter eBook, our nephew sure loved that!!

All-in-all Jeanna and I have been passing the Sony 6” Digital E-Reader back and forth the last two weeks, in fact Jeanna just last night refused to pick up the baby book next to the bed and went looking for the EXACT same book on the E-Reader! I say it is a win and for just $147 a bargain over other tablets with similar or LESS features.  Like the built in free dictionary to look up all those medical and baby terms!

    I really like the songbird wall calendar.
    I also like that Staples sells First Aid supplies. Having a First Aid kit in offices and the home is a great safety measure.
