DadGear Backpack Diaper Bag ~ Product Review

DadGear Backpack Diaper Bag – Review

How  much does your purse weigh?  How about the diaper bag? Combined?  YUP… WAY TOO MUCH!!  Jeanna and I have been searching and searching for a unique bag to use for our diaper bag and have been running into two issues. First, do we really need a diaper bag? (Like an actual diaper bag?) Why can’t we just use a backpack?  Neither of us are very tall people and it seems bags are not comfortable to lug around (hitting the back of our legs) and Jeanna’s back can’t handle a heavy bag on her shoulder for very long.  After searching HIGH and low we randomly saw a DadGear backpack diaper bag laying on the shelf in the diaper bag section at Babies R Us and immediately fell in love!

DadGear is a rather new brand to the parenting products line; just since 2005 the DadGear brand has been offering an extensive line of parenting products all designed for dads, by dads.   So, DadGear prides themselves on products that are not just neutral or non-feminine, but a masculine style that reflects the man that cares for his kids; working hard to make sure these products don’t look like diaper bags but simply a great bag or jacket.  All of the DadGear products are made with high quality hardware, zippers, fabrics and webbing so this DadGear will last far beyond the diapering years.

The best thing I LOVE about this Dadgear Backpack Diaper Bag is not only the amount of space it offers but all the organization it offers too!  The award-winning QUICK ACCESS WIPES CASE makes grabbing the wipes a breeze.  A Diaper hammock that keeps the diapers at the top of the bag, no more digging to the bottom of the bag to find that one diaper!  Inside the bag are TWO large pockets with several smaller compartments to keep all the little odds and ends.  The Backpack also has two bottle pockets accessible from the exterior as well… oh, and each pocket can hold 2 bottles!

The Dadgear Backpack Diaper Bag is designed in the spirit of hiking packs with ergonomically-shaped, padded shoulder straps that Jeanna says make carrying the pack VERY COMFY.  The straps are also shaped to fit on the back of the stroller without any slipping.

All-in-all, DadGear may be at the top of my list for bags!  I found their website DadGear.com and as I poked around found they also offer messenger style bags and Diaper Vests…. I may just be the most over prepared Mom out there! 🙂  All of the amazing DadGear products can be found online at Amazon.com or several local retailers found here!  The Dadgear Backpack Diaper Bag retails for $89 – I am sure you’ll love this diaper bag as much as we do!!
Follow DadGear on Facebook and Twitter and see all the new products they are developing like the new line of MOM’S MESSENGER BAGS!!!

Thanks for the informative review. I’m definitely getting this for my brother as a baby shower gift. I’m sure he’d love carrying this backpack vs. a traditional diaper bag.

I love the backpack idea and it looks and sounds as if it has lots or organization for storing things! It would leave your hands and arms free for baby!

Pick me, pick me! Your next winner!!! Show me the money!!! . It would be a dream come true and means more to me than anyone else to win. Starving artist here desperately needs the backpack to have fun and feel alive and inspired again. A life changing experience. Top of my bucket list. Thank you for the awesomeness, the contest, and generousity.
