ClosetMaid Impressions Narrow Closet Kit
When something needs to be fixed, built or just organized I run and hide; that’s what Jeanna does best. With all that is happening around the house to get ready for Baby Mc I am sure she can’t wait for that little bundle to arrive! I was excited to tell her that I received an opportunity to make her ‘jobs’ a little easier…. a ClosetMaid Impressions home organizer kit!
The struggle began when we measured Baby Mc’s closet, a whoppin’ 42” wide, not practical even a tiny bit. All the organizers we found were for a 48” closet, now what? To the internet we went to do more research when I found ClosetMaid offers professionally designed closets. You supply the dimensions, preferences and storage needs and for just $5 ClosetMaid professionals design the easy and affordable way to get the job done in four days or less. I entered in some measurements and answered a few questions about what we needed to keep in the closet and a couple days later we got back a design. The packet included everything we needed in the most cost effective way to purchase the parts.
We started with a mess…. (most of the ‘mess’ was cleaned out to take this picture)
With the brilliant guidance of the ClosetMaid professionals we (mostly Jeanna) got started with an Impressions Narrow Closet Kit, sold exclusively at The Home Depot for about $118 with FREE SHIPPING if you chose to buy online! The kit includes 10 ½ feet of shelf space with 4 fixed shelves and 4 adjustable shelves and 11 ½ feet of hanging space with 3 hang rods that expand from 30 inches up to 48 inches. Now, we don’t have enough room for all that in our space so with a little cutting of the hang rods and elimination of one completely we were able to use this kit just fine! Had we bought the shelving units and hang rods separately we would have paid nearly double the cost of the kit.
Because we were building this masterpiece for Baby Mc we needed some extra room for tiny things, so the ClosetMaid professionals suggested we add drawers to the shelving unit. We got 4 Narrow Drawers also from the Impressions line. They were just as easy to install right into the shelving unit from the kit. We also included a Top Shelf that sits above the highest hang rod so we have more storage at the top of the closet.
All in all, the ClosetMaid Impressions Narrow Closet Kit was super easy (for Jeanna) to install. It took a full Saturday to complete, which includes cleaning out all the goods and reorganizing them all back into their new homes! It really was as easy as 3 steps; Measure – Design (thanks to the pros) – Install!
I am absolutely in love with the closet and how it turned out. I haven’t quite decided where everything is to go yet, but I hear I will change my mind once Baby Mc arrives too! I love Closetmaids’ line of CubeiCals, and the Activity Table would be an amazing addition to my boys’ room! I can see them watching their tv while eating lunch at their own little table, then cleaning up the mess (YES, REALLY!) and building with Legos in the same space.
