i love that the day before christmas we go to my hubby’s mom house and we have fish for dinner and then we all sit and chat and hang out then all the kids get to open one present. we play cards and board games, pretty fun

I love to pick out our Christmas tree. It’s always an adventure.
we play a christmas dice game where everyone chips in and buys gifts for game. pass dice around and whoever gets doubles gets to take a gift. you do this until all gifts are taken and then for about 1-2 min you see how many doubles you can roll and steal the gift from each other. when the time is up you get to keep the gifts you got.
Our Holiday tradition is on Christmas Eve after dinner we take a ride to look at all the Christmas decorations then come back home, kids open one gift , then bath and betime story of “twas the night before christmas”.
Putting up the tree every year has always been one of my favorite things. We make an entire family day out of it with music, fun, and yummy candy canes!
Watching the excitement grow in the little ones faces, sometimes bit ones too. Getting together at my sister’s house, all us girls and mom has to do the dressiing,the kids eating as we go and the little ones always getting to butter the rolls.. Just a wonderful time of family togetherness.. Hard to do now mom is sick so we do the best we can..
