After we ate, while I put away the leftovers, my daughter & husband put up the Christmas tree and then we turned off all the lights & laid down under the tree to look at the colorful lights. My favorite memories of Thanksgiving are being in the kitchen with my mom fixing dinner. We would put the turkey in the night before. Then in the morning, we’d get up and take it out of the oven, cover the whole thing with about 10 towels so that it stayed hot. The house already smelled great from the turkey baking all night. Then we’d get started on the stuffing, pies, sweet potatoes, and all the rest of the meal.
After dinner we would run to the store and buy ribbon candy and mountain dew for my Grandpa. I LOVED it.
