    The thing I dislike most about moving to a new home is unpacking! Finding a new place for everything is the worst, especially if I come to find that my new place is way shorter on storage space than my last one. The thing I like best about moving is the newness of everything. New places to discover and explore, new people to meet. It can be a lot of fun!

    omg i hate the physical part of moving the packing and the moving of furniture and boxes and stuff but on the other hand if you are moving cause u want to not cause u have to then its exciting to move into a new place and decorating and stuff but say ur moving cause u have no choice then it sucks all together!

    The one thing I hate about moving is the unpacking. You have to have everything cleaned up & ready for moving in when you are unpacking where as pack, everything has to be cleaned & wrapped properly & according to what needs to be wrapped cautiously, that’s more critical time you have to use to wrap properly; ie: glasswares. I usually do all my own packing & moving & sometimes I have had help but rarely.

    While a member of the United States Air Force for 20 years, I moved nine times! I didn’t like knowing my home was “temporary”. I didn’t put up many pictures because I knew we’d have to take them down anyway in a couple of years. After I retired from the service, all the stuff that was in storage was returned to me…oh my! I didn’t realize how much stuff I had accumulated over the years. Yikes! Now, I’m still having trouble getting rid of the stuff…geez! ;P

    I love the packing because it’s my chance to get rid of things I’ve accumulated and just never thrown out or donated. I HATE the physical labor of actually packing the truck and moving the boxes in and out of the houses. But I love the end result because I’m in a nice new home and it’s a clean slate!

    We JUST moved into a new home a week ago. I can honestly say I hate every single part of moving. I hate packing, purging old junk, and especially hate unpacking. I’m still not finished unpacking. The biggest thing I dislike about moving has got to just be the huge expense! We drained our savings to move 3 hours away, but it was worth it because we moved to better opportunities and high paying jobs! But still… moving is ridiculously expensive when you consider the actual cost of the moving for a U-Haul, first month’s rent/deposit, utility hookups (super high here!), and the money it takes to live off of until paychecks start rolling in. I just really hate moving, in case you couldn’t tell, lol.

    I am totally stressed out! We are packing now to move 1200 miles away, so I am worried about that long drive in a uhaul with kiddos!

    I like that I don’t have to carry any dirty boxes — I’m allergic to dust! Honestly. My arms break out in a nasty rash if I pick up a box that’s covered in dust. Especially cardboard. But I also dislike that I don’t have to carry boxes, because then I feel like I’m not doing enough to help out.

    I dislike having to make all arrangements for the wall in a new home because there are so many different set ups of where pictures or objects may fit in new rooms. It is much easier to arrange them in a grouping and sometimes in a new home they don’t work!!

    Growing up, my family and I would move every 2-3 years. From the time I was around 5 until I moved out. It was horrible! The packing and unpacking were the worst. And getting used to all the ‘new to you’ house sounds and such. Seems every house had that!

    I love moving. I love the unpacking and being able to put things in new locations and setups. The one thing I don’t like is being without our main household stuff until it gets delivered. Which at times can be weeks, bc we not have out new address for that long due to being in military. But I am always up for moving and love being in a new place. I prefer to move every 3-4yrs. Even if I don’t I rearrange my house at least 3 times a year.
