Ahhhh, its summer time and you know what that means at our house??? GRILING!! Jeanna and I grill out almost every night we have together, so A LOT! This year we have been really trying to learn to grill with charcoal (after all, most say it’s the only way to grill properly). We haven’t really perfected this charcoal thing at all. Most recently we had some great pork chops that we had to shave down so much it ended up looking like a piece of bologna!!!
Anyways, when I saw the opportunity to review a cooking thermometer I was so excite. Then when it came in the mail we had to try it! 🙂 That night we tried pork chops again on the Weber but this time we let the coals burn off a bit longer since we weren’t afraid of undercooking them this time.
JUST PERFECT!! It worked brilliantly. Not only was I able to test the chops without burning myself I didn’t have to remember the previous temperature (to know whether or not the coals were still working) because the thermometer kept record for me. I LOVE my new grilling toy; it gives me just one more reason to grill… like I needed another one!!!

What a cool product. I have always meant to buy one but never have. I think I’ll do it now while I am thinking about it. I made a brisket today on the grill and the thick part was pretty rare.
This is great, another little thing we always forget to buy. My wife is a grill master and chef, she would really like to have one. She just got back a couple weeks ago from N.Y. She was invited to cook on the Prime time show ABC the CHEW. She cooked with Mario Batali and had the time of her life!
