Scholastic Storybook Treasures DVD
My First Collection Volume 3 featuring Chicken Little
Scholastic has done it again releasing another great DVD collection. Scholastic Storybook Treasures presents My First Collection Volume 3 featuring Chicken Little just released in June and already kids everywhere love it!
Volume 3 is packed with 12 uniquely and artfully animated stories on 3 DVD’s. These stories are perfect for kids of any age but geared for the toddlers and preschoolers in your house teaching lessons of friendship, confidence and how to have good fun from their favorite animal characters.
Each DVD has stories that support early literacy skills sporting Scholastic’s innovative read-along function and features narration from Sean Hayes, John Lithgow and Randy Travis!
The collection of stories so you can decide which you want to watch first:
CHICKEN LITTLE: A bold and colorful retelling of a classic tale! Children will delight as a crazy-eyed chicken and all his panicked friends try to run away from a falling sky.
THE GREAT WHITE MAN-EATING SHARK: Norvin, a boy who closely resembles a shark, uses his talents to scare away all the swimmers at Caramel Cove – except for the one female shark in love. Help!
THE THREE-LEGGED CAT: Mrs. Gimble’s peg-leg cat, Tom, is taken for a hat and a ride atop her rascally roving brother’s bald head in this hilarious tale of mistaken identity.
DOOBY DOOBY: While Farmer Brown tries to figure out what the animals are up to, Duck is determined to enter the talent show contest and win!
KATIE LOVES THE KITTENS: Katie, a little dog, is so excited when Sara Ann brings home three little kittens that she can’t stop herself from howling and trying to run after them!
SCAREDY SQUIRREL: Scaredy Squirrel never leaves his tree, until one day, when he suddenly finds himself outside, he discovers something really uplifting and surprising about himself.
THE COW WHO FELL IN THE CANAL: Hendrika, a cow who longs to see the city, gets her wish when she rides an old raft down the canal to adventure!
ROBERTO THE INSECT ARCHITECT: A termite named Roberto follows his dream of becoming an architect and travels to the big city where he hopes to find success.
BARK, GEORGE: Children will roar will laughter at this silly story of a mother dog trying to teach her pup to bark.
DOT THE FIRE DOG: Dot the Fire Dog and her firefighter friends teach children just what to do when the alarm bell rings at the fire station, and shares her fire safety tips, too!
NO ROSES FOR HARRY!: After receiving a rose-colored sweater from Grandma, Harry determines to lose it
ANGUS AND THE DUCKS: A curious little Scottish terrier gets his chance to find out what’s making the noise on the other side of the tall green hedge.
WHISTLE FOR WILLIE: Wouldn’t it be great if Peter could whistle for his dog, Willie? He tries hard, but he can’t make a sound.
And if that doesn’t convince you that you NEED this DVD collection, how about that each DVD is littered with awards including Parents’ Choice, Kids First! Best Short Animated Film, ALA Notable Video and Cine Golden Eagle!
