Kids Are Amazing FLASH Giveaway ~ 3/30-4/2

March 29, 2012 By Africa

Kids are amazing! I honestly believe that the best thing that ever happened to me was becoming a mom. Everyday they do or say something that either keeps me on my toes or makes me laugh uncontrollably. From the funny things they say and do to those funny little personalities. I am truly blessed to have my little comedians. This is Cheyenne and her audition to be the next KISS member!

Today we are going to give something away for the kids. All kids love getting mail, even if its just the weekly flyer from the supermarket. Well we want them to get super excited about getting something special just for them! We will even personally address it to them! Enter from March 30 – April 2, 2012!

Thank you to Africa’s Blog, Kathleen’s Blog Spot and Mommy and Baby Reviews and Giveaways for Sponsoring the giveaway. And a huge thank you to all of the blogs hosting the giveaway.

Not going into the big story here: My granddaughter went to sunday school, when they ask the kids if anyone had a prayer request, she raised her hand and she said, Ms._____ Please pray for my mommy, she needs to get a new bed, her bed is hurting ________’s back. LOL

The hubs and I took one of his friends for an interview. We sat in the truck outside. There were a couple of birds that had landed beside the truck. I was talking to my son, (who was 3 at the time) about the birds. I asked him questions about the birds. When I said “What do the birds eat?” and he replied “tacos”.. It cracked me up.!!

I have three kids so it’s hard to pick just one.

Last summer we finally got our pool up, all three little ones are a water dog from sun up to sun down they are in the pool. They got so bored but they wanted to stay in the pool, they started taking all their toys outside and putting in them in the pool trying to see which ones would float and which ones would sink to the bottom. They went through all their toys that was water proof they had an empty bucket, my son which is the oldest grabbed the bucket and put it in the water, and of course at first it didn’t sink but later on it did. They soon found out that they could get in the bucket and act like it was a ship and they were sailing. Which I don’t doubt that will probably be the highlight of this summer also.

She asks family and friends to buy him Bieber t-shirts and CD’s, etc. No idea where she got the idea to torture her father in this way… but as her mother, I am wicked proud of her! *evil grin*

Ok, for a funny story I’ll use one from my childhood. My grandma took me to church every sunday. My parents were more of the holiday and special occasion church goers, and were hippies. The loved listening to their music loud. Anyway, one sunday when I was about 3 years old, I got up in the middle of the sermon, stood on the pew and sung “Driving that train, high on cocaine…” at the top of my lungs. The preacher stopped service until I was done, thanked me and went on. My grandma was so embarassed, my mom made sure I knew Jesus loves me by the next sunday πŸ™‚

  28. Edward P. says

    March 30, 2012 at 10:13

Funny story huh? Well, I’m gonna have to make it short. We have 3 cats and one of them is a Hemingway cat (which has and extra toe on each paw), and when its time for a meal for them he is always reaching out to the bowl and grabs the bowl with his paw as if it was a hand reaching out, and yes it does look like one. He is always stealing the bowl from the other cats so that he can eat first.

I guess I will go with my toddler. he used to sit in his highchair next to me and he’d headbutt me sit back and giggle and say “OW” really loudly. he would do this over and over and over. now that he’s a little older, it’s obvious that he was not actually trying to hurt me or him, he was giving me loving. cause now he will come up to me and press his face against my face and shake his head back and forth and giggle. he only does this with me *swoon*

My 3 year old has finally potty trained over the past couple weeks and we are still in the excitement stage with it!
So he comes to me the other day and says “Mommy mommy! I pee peed!”
Of course, all excited I say, “Yay! Honey that is great that you pee peed in the potty!
Only to hear him say “No mommy, the TRASHCAN!”
Sure enough I go in to find it in the potty and the trashcan and on the wall…
Laughed like crazy! Then explained why he doesn’t do that! LOL

I love how kids use their own words for things. I’ve found we end up using some of their expressions in our family as normal stuff and it is funny to explain it to people.
Cheech would says, “Are you happy at me?” because I guess we’d say we were mad at her and so she would ask later if we were happy at her. Everyone at her preschool and in our family started using that for a while, it was cute!

My favorite funny story is when i was younger one of my bf grabbed a random girl by accident thinking it was me and put his arm around her. when he noticed what he did he turned bright red. Always laugh when i think about that.

I was eating frog legs at a local restaurant and my three year old Granddaughter asked to taste it. After she ate one of the legs she looked at me very seriously and said “hope it doesn’t make me ribet ribet!”

Me and my sons then 4 and 10 were at the grocery store and they were playing, laughing and just being loud but that day they just got on my nerves. So I told them constantly to just be quiet..then they started up again so I told them to STOP BECAUSE YA’LL HAVE LOST YOUR MINDS! then everything was ya’ll have lost your mind repeated by them to me all that day…so now I watch what I say because I will constantly hear it over, over, and over again πŸ™‚

my daughter when she was little no matter when you bathed her and got her out the door to go places always looked like she was related to “pig pen” off of Peanuts. My mom said she was a dirt magnet and she shook her head yes and said “yes mimi I sure am a dirt maggot!” it stuck!
